i understand all of your reasons. i also understand the theoretics of this deck but it is actually pretty cool. i also must wonder why there is only one Rustic Clachan? why not 4?

I'm just not too sure about Rustic Clachan. It seems like discarding a land for a +1/+1 on one creature just isn't that powerful. I do love the art and flavor it brings to this deck though.

Again, after I actually start playing this deck it I might see the advantage of having, but for note it just seems a bit lackluster.

PierreThePlaneswalker while I agree that discarding it is of little value, the important to keep in mind a few facts; first it is at instant speed and second it turns a terrible mid to late game topdeck into something, rather than a useless land lategame.

I do see what you mean though, I can turn it into a useless land into a card that says "Instant, , Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature."

Another question, when it says 'discard' does it mean from my hand or from the battlefield?

i have done a bit of play testing with this using the in site playtester, and i think that there should be more lands. i think that instead of Gift of Estates you should instead just run 2 more plains.

Ah, I see. I actually ordered extra Plains so everything should be fine!

Burrenton Forge-Tender as a 4 of on the side, not only does it fit the tribe as a one drop, and can save you and your dude from bolt and a few other things, but mostly bolt.

actually i'm assuming we're doing lorwyn tribes, maybe something like slivers could be done. Sliver Hive perfectly replaces Rustic Clachan after all. the letter would be to the Sliver Queen, prolly from the Homing Sliver. anyone up for it?
