A grindy engine deck built around Tortured Existence .

Search for said engine card with mulligans, Commune with the Gods , and Vessel of Nascency .

Discard dredgers like Stinkweed Imp and Golgari Brownscale and start filling your yard. Then use TE with your various toolbox creatures like Spore Frog and Mesmeric Fiend to keep your opponent down. Dredging these dudes back guarantees TE activations. Grave Scrabbler also provides a way to keep the bodies coming back for value.

Thorn of the Black Rose and other dudes like Tilling Treefolk provide late-game card advantage. Then the main way to win is using Crypt Rats to fireball their face off.

Gnaw to the Bone can get you free wins against burn and aggro, and makes the crypt rat finish much less painful.

There are several ways to build this deck. There are splash colors, and even Mardu options. There are lots of flex slots, and the sideboard can reflect that. You can adjust to a more aggro-based strategy with cards like Wild Mongrel and Gurmag Angler especially if you expect certain hate cards.

It was probably a mistake to print TE at common, but hey now we get this fun deck!
