This list is meant to take the crown and hold onto it for dear life. Effects that tax attacks like Ghostly Prison, Norn's Annex, and Sphere of Safety make sure that the table has to direct their attention elsewhere, all while Queen Marchesa accrues advantage.

The other aspect is the planeswalker/superfriends theme. This functions to divert attention away from me and to capitalize on all the chaos that the Monarch mechanism creates.
