Nothing new here; just going wide with a bunch of 2- and 3-power one-drops, then pumping them for the win.

Maindeck notes:

Once you add in Vexing Devil, Pelt Collector is almost always better than Experiment One.

Ghor-Clan Rampager: this card is way better than it looks. You can’t cast it off Burning-Tree Emissary, but it’s great against decks looking to go taller than you (particularly against Humans, where Thalia’s first strike can be a real pain). This dodges Thalia’s tax and gets around Meddling Mage (it only stops you from hardcasting Ghor-Clan Rampager, not from using its ability), so it’s very well-positioned and has done a lot to help my Humans matchup. That said, I’m mainly trying to go wide and not tall, so it ends up being an inefficient use of my mana.

Devastating Summons: a great go-wide finisher if you have 3 lands and can combo off with Bushwhacker. Float 3 mana, then sac the lands and swing out of nowhere with 10+ damage. It’s a great way to finish off the game if you’re running out of gas.

What’s not there (aka Close But No Cigar):

Hidden Herbalists: I have enough red in this build that GG is pretty useless to me. Also a nonbo with Bushwhacker.

Simian Spirit Guide: I love this card as it can steal games if timed right, but I'd rather have a land to abuse with Devastating Summons, and it sometimes tricks you into keeping a bad hand. Also it's a terrible topdeck.

Sideboard guide:

Lightning Helix: great burn hate. Blow up a Guide or other creature, or just go to the face and slow them down.

Deflecting Palm: good if they’re coming in with a fatty (or, as I learned the hard way, with a pumped Infect creature).

Path to Exile: great against decks going tall, like Hollow One or Death’s Shadow.

Stony Silence/Ancient Grudge: hate for Affinity or KCI.

Rest in Peace: graveyard hate because Dredge. Can also be brought in against Hollow One or Death’s Shadow.

Dromoka’s Command negates Anger of the Gods (which is the only sweeper we care about) and doubles as enchantment hate.

Didn’t make the cut: Boros Charm: insurance against sweepers or 4 to the dome, but inefficient as (and against) burn.

Alpine Moon: this deck can run over Karn even with turn-3 Tron.

Destructive Revelry, Tin Street Hooligan: Ancient Grudge is a 2-for-1, which is critical against Affinity, a very tough matchup against this deck.

Grafdigger’s Cage: lots of artifact hate is in the format, meaning I prefer Enchantment graveyard hate in Rest In Peace.
