This deck is my first official foray into the Vintage format in my 17+ year playing and collecting career. originally, I wanted to play a vintage deck that could stand up to the competition without being too expensive, but one quickly realized that inexpensive and Vintage are two words that never share the same sentence. I have always loved Merfolk and this, I feel, is the a deck that can propel me to great heights.

The play strategy of this deck is hard and fast, you want to ensure that you can establish an insurmountable board presence as quickly as you can, thanks to cheap spells across the board and the draw power provided from the Silvergill Adept and Ancestral Recall, this deck has more than adequate chutzpah to get one over that line. With the use of Cavern of Souls, the counter game is almost rendered silent, and any counterspells that do get used against me, I can stop without much effort.
