Maybeboard


This is my first ever MTG deck. I really just liked the idea of Merfolk tribal / sea themed.

Gameplan:

  1. Get Wanderwine Prophets combat damage through with some unlockable or island walk from Thassa, god of the sea, Lord of Atlantis, and the like. Get extra turns from Wanderwine Prophets to potentially keep gaining additional turns.

  2. Dramatic Reversal / Isochron Scepter / Cryptolith Rite and Kumena's second ability to tap merfolk to draw, degen reversal, do it again, forever. Could Thassa out I guess, but you'll have all of the creatures and counterspells you need to get enough damage through anyways.

  3. Seahunter / Intruder Alarm / Cryptolith Rite, Same concept as the previous combo just a little more expensive to get going.

  4. Last resort, enchantments that create tokens or card draw. Along with Kumena's draw ability (tap 3 merf) and the "add a +1/+1 counter to all merfolk" ability (tap 5 merf) to buff up a wide board state.
