Introduction "RW Aggro" (December Deck):

This deck starts off like a typical white weenie deck then transitions to red finishers. There are lots of cheap creatures to put pressure on the opponent, and then flying & direct damage to finish them off.

Strategy:

This deck basically has a 3 part plan to win games.

1. Play fast cheap creatures to push across early damage. Play Titan's Strength whenever possible for extra damage and scry.

2. Keep the opponent to 0 or 1 creatures by removing their most lethal threats and continue attacking.

3. Once your opponent stabilizes the ground (and they will), its time to switch to air with Akoum Firebird and direct damage spells.

Matchups:

This deck plays well against slower control decks where your early creatures can really punish them. Sweepers (especially Radiant Flames) can be a problem here. That said, its still usually best to play out your small creatures to stay aggressive, and then switch to plan #3 if the board is wiped.

It is tougher to play against go wide creature/token decks. GB elves or WW can play out so many creatures that you arent really able to remove enough of them or go around them for damage. A lot of our creatures also match up poorly to tokens or anything with 1 power. Arc Lightning can let you clean up multiple small creatures.

Sideboarding:

• Atarka Red - Bring in Wild Slash and Surge of Righteousness. Keep up instant speed removal and wait for them to go for their combo before removing.

• GB elves or WW - Bring in Arc Lightning and Wild Slash.

• Against specific cards:

• Hangarback Walker - Bring in Touch of the Void to prevent tokens from being created.

• Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   - Bring in Rending Volley

• Deathmist Raptor - Bring in Touch of the Void for exile
