It's a pleasure to see that others are building Selvala as well! Love her, she seems innocent, but can kill you 3rd-4th turn. My personal record is still 5th :(

5th isn't bad. giving other plays are still setting their board up for mid game... lol.

i'm trying to make this deck a little different then others with some strange synergy that will surprisingly work. and with 10-15 mana turn 3-4 you can play pretty much any card in your hand.

Hmm, that would be an interesting combo with Spike Feeder and Archangel of Thune. I will add this to my "Replacement" list and see if I cant fit him in. Thanks for the suggestion.

Surprised you dropped Sol Ring, is it frowned upon in your playgroup? or is it just that you don't need the colorless mana. Also it seems strange to add in Doubling Cube in at the same time, is it due to the larger mana it gives with Selvala, Explorer Returned being the commander?

So I dropped it cuz... well yeah I don't need the colorless mana. and out of all the times I play this deck, once I have pulled this card in my opening hand and next turn still couldn't get much use out of it. with elves that produce mana and other's that produces mana off how many elves you have, it makes Sol Ring kind of a waste of space. I did put Doubling Cube back in cuz of Selvala's "Parley". If I have a board state that is making lots of mana that's great, if I can double just off the mana from the "Parley"... to me that's huge. placing that mana into an X cost could deffenetly put things in my favor. For instance Protean Hydra or Genesis Wave. I could be sitting pretty.

yeah I know. I told my playgroup that i was taking Sol Ring out. they thought i was crazy... but then later saw what i was talking about.

Hey man, I am a huge Selvala fan myself, and I have my own high power deck here with her at the helm. Although I think my deck is more around the 75% power level (I put some pet and budget cards in mine), I'm sure it will be worth a look for you, as it plays slightly differently and runs a different set of cards, but still can consistently win crazy fast.

Here are a few card choices I recommend: In addition to Mobilize, etc. I recommend using To Arms! instead of Benefactor's Draught depending on your meta, since it doesn't untap their creatures.

Another combo that I use in my deck is Village Bell-Ringer + Temur Sabertooth. Although it is a little more mana intensive than the combos you already have, I like it because both cards are very useful individually (protecting and untapping your creatures).

Finally, I noticed that you have all this lifegain, but you don't have Aetherflux Reservoir? That seems criminal!

I did at one point have Aetherflux Reservoir in there, I took it out, I didn't want to build the deck around life gain and or life doubler's ... Why... I don't know. a BIG LASER to the face is funny. but choking someone out with poison is somewhat satisfying.

I do have To Arms! in the deck. the reason why I have Benefactor's Draught in there is not only for untapping, but for the card draw. and card advantage is key especially with a massive amount of mana to spend.

I looked at your deck. very nice, I will definitely +1. and the best part is that it is different. which makes Selvala, Explorer Returned even better.

Wow I can't believe I didn't see that you already had the card. Whoops! One more suggestion: did you know that you can use Staff of Domination as a replacement for Umbral Mantle and such? Just an idea.

I know white mana is less common than green in a deck like this however Seedcradle Witch has done wonders for my selvala deck. It is great untapping and goes infinite with Wirewood Channeler (also it is very cheep £/$ wise). I also use Gyre Sage as another less good Marwyn, the Nurturer to make sure I hit infinite mana as it only needs 4 or 5 +1/+1 counters.

Yeah white is a bit difficult in a deck like this, where you pretty much only rely on having "land" for the white mana. I am looking to put some mana dorks in to fix this, I just need to get my hands on them. Avacyn's Pilgrim maybe even a Myr Gold Myr to kinda fill the gaps
