I recently found out about the oathbreaker format and was excited to try it. The banlist of fast mana is really appealing due to the expensive nature of all fast mana and in my opinion creates more games where players are on equal playing fields instead of one player playing very large spells very early in the game.

Izzet was the first starter deck I ever received when introduced to magic and instantly became my favorite way to play the game. I am a big fan of commander but my playgroup doesn't like infinite combos very much and sadly most izzet strategies in commander involve some sort of infinite combo. (I do have a niv mizzet deck that can operate without them but its not as fun :P)

This deck focuses around the prowess mechanic which is my favorite text to see on creatures other than drawing cards. Due to the lower life totals and smaller decklists I think this strategy will be more viable than it normally is in commander as a main type rather than a sub-theme.
