Haha, I was pretty tired when I made that description! I have made the connection more clear.
To elaborate, a creature has to attack twice to completely destroy Dragon Egg , effectively giving Slumbering Dragon 2 free counters if the enemy chooses to attack twice.

Have you considered Stomping Ground ? They're dropping in price as they prepare to roll out of standard, now may be a good time to get some.

Hm, maybe. I like the idea, so if I get the money, I'll put them in. Thanks for the suggestion! It'll make my land fetching that much more powerful.

You may also want to look at your deck, Dragonspeaker Shaman isn't a Modern legal card, unfortunately.

+1: dragons! Also, Thundermaw Hellkite is a powerhouse. It gets five damage in virtually garuanteed before your opponent untaps and kills it. For that reason, I'm wary of Utvara Hellkite .

I like the deck but it think there are much better options than Dragon Egg . I would suggest a bigger defender. If you have a big blocker and Slumbering Dragon on the floor your opponent is stalled until they get rid of that pesky little sleepy head. They know that when that little shit wakes up its over. I would suggest Thallid Shell-Dweller , or Overgrown Battlement . Thallid guy would give you more blockers after a while and the other could give you some mana.

I'm a huge fan of Dragon Broodmother . And she's in your colors!

you should think about switching out the Arbor Elf for an Elvish Mystic

Untapping a forest is better than adding 1 Green to your mana pool. What if he had the stomping ground? Then He can get red or green

@KrosanTusker: I'm not really feeling Thundermaw Hellkite , but I'll keep him in mind when I playtest.
@323Dimitri: Those defenders are a bit better, but I can cheat into Dragon Egg , and the Dragon Egg token gives me a 6/6 if I have Utvara Hellkite out.
@xkoney: Yes. Just yes. She synergises so well will Utvara Hellkite .
@Eccles321: Arbor Elf can untap Stomping grounds to give me a green or red mana. Elvish Mystic is the inferior choice for this deck.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, this deck's turning out pretty well so far! :D

Pro: Can untap any forest, including Stomping grounds, giving you access to one green or red mana.
Con: Opponent can interrupt his ability with an instant.
Pro: Opponent CANNOT interrupt his ability with an instant.
Con: Only taps for 1 green mana. :(

+1 for dragon tribal!
Scourge of Valkas is, in my humble opinon, a must for any dragon deck and especially those running broodmother.
Also Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves makes it way easier to keep your dragons alive.

Oh man, that is a tempting suggestion. My original reason for keeping Scourge of Valkas out is that I feel like it's a risk/reward card, but since I have Dragon Broodmother , it's tempting to replace Balefire Dragon .
However, I think the combo of Balefire Dragon + Increasing Savagery is absolutely hilarious and will give the opponent much less time to react.
I'll keep Scourge of Valkas in the maybeboard, and he will definitely be the first thing I put into a sideboard!
As for Lightning Greaves : What would you take out? I really like the idea of my dragon buddies having shroud. Maybe that's another good sideboard candidate.
Awesome suggestion, thanks man! :D

Nah, I could make it monstrous, or, for the same price I could bring out a Balefire Dragon .
Stormbreath Dragon is kind of a mana inefficient card in this deck. Thanks for the suggestion though! :)

I play a Standard Dragon deck that I've been doing pretty well with, maybe you could offer me some suggestions?
June 14, 2014 6:14 p.m.
Man, this looks nasty as hell. I had a deck like this back when Innistrad block was in standard. the only card I can think of possibly adding would be Sarkhan Vol .

I like the deck but I don't understand the connection between Dragon Egg and Slumbering Dragon . What do you mean by fodder?
