Have you ever thought about dealing with control decks?

The Lightning Greaves in my sideboard was there for that. But I see your point, how do I fight against a Supreme Verdict ? Graveyard interaction?

If you splash black there are tons of ways to return creatures from you graveyard to your hand/battlefield, such as Gravedigger or Morgue Burst

+1 MAN I love seeing different takes on dragon decks that don't require loads of ramp to get them in. I'd prefer Cultivate rather than having Ranger's Path it cost less, and can get you both a forest or mountain.

Asceticism is another option that doesn't require adding a color.
If you add white, definitely swap Arbor Elf for Birds of Paradise and add a 1-2 Plains .

Tingettley, Supreme Verdict is just one of the many board wipes. I can't think of many but i know there's stuff like Terminus , or like the black and white versions that also say destroy all creatures, as my friend says Dissipate .

I'm keeping the deck Gruul. It's much more reliable to have two colors in my experience and the deck works fine as it is without adding a third!
I'm not using Cultivate because Ranger's Path can pull Stomping Ground and Cultivate cannot.
I will actually consider Asceticism . That's a sweet card, and it would work very well in my sideboard.
Thank you all for your suggestions! :)

You could always throw a Cavern of Souls or 2 in to make your Dragons uncounterable....I'm a Cavern nut though (as I play a lot of elf decks :) so I have a bias...

Yes! I will definitely put some Cavern of Souls in the deck! :D
Thanks!

Many people have been commenting to remove rangers path, i agree however instead of cultivate i would suggest Garruk Wildspeaker . then i would remove crucible for Utopia Sprawl . arbor elf + sprawl + garruk is the sweetest ramp package in modern. remove the crucible of fires, dragons will be by far the biggest baddest creatures on the board. they dont need any help. even if your not a fan of utopia sprawl add garruk, hes a non-creature threat that can win games by spamming beasts for value or acts like a crucible to buff your dragons. overall the changes i would make are -4 rangers path -3 crucible + 3 garruk +4 utopia sprawl

You're right. Being able to untap a land enchanted with Utopia Sprawl is incredible. However, I can't see mainboarding it over Ranger's Path unless I can make room for Garruk Wildspeaker . The reason the 3x Crucible of Fire is in the deck is so my Dragon Broodmother tokens, my 3x Slumbering Dragon , and my 4x Dragon Egg get powerful enough to pose a huge threat on their own.

you could remove courser of kruphix as it doesn't actually put you ahead on mana. you could also just straight up remove dragon egg as it seems pretty under powered as it doesn't do much killing or ramping the two things cards in this deck should do.

I like the addition of Utopia Sprawl
a lot!
It's so good with Arbor Elf

harmonize seems interesting, other good green card draw is Hunter's Prowess it can draw more cards and deal more damage but is weak to removal. love the deck +1 :)

Oh damn, that is a scary card. I'll consider it!
Thanks for the suggestions, they helped a lot! :D

I've considered it, but I feel like if I'm top-decking, I won't have much else to spend that 4 mana on to guarantee card draw.
I'd rather not give my enemy the luxury of a choice. Thanks for the suggestion! :D

Jdvanliew: If I only have 1 Xenagos, The Reveler , I lose consistency. I'd rather have a 3/60 chance of drawing Garruk Wildspeaker than split him up and use another planeswalker.
The main reason I am using Garruk Wildspeaker is for his +1! Thanks for the suggestion though :)

+1 for dragony goodness. I built a somewhat similar modern deck for my step-son not long ago as a fun introduction to the game, Derpy Dragons - RG Dragon Ramp, so far it's doing fairly well. Real competitive decks trounce it of course, but dragons are fun and easy to underestimate.
