Hello and thanks for viewing my deck! This is a finely tuned Superfriends EDH deck. I update the deck every time a new standard set releases. This is not a budget deck by any stretch of the imagination. The random foils are because the deck is marked exactly as I own it. If you do build this deck the Good Adds section are cards that are great to put in, but I do not own them.

Win Conditions

Combo/Synergy Kill - The main goal for this kill is to have a Doubling Season on the field and then resolve a Samut, the Tested. This then results in the immediate -7 of Samut to fetch a Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh (99% of the time) and Tamiyo, Field Researcher, Teferi, Temporal Archmage, Ral Zarek, or Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. Once this is complete you will be able to win the game in the next turn or two.

Token Beatdown - This kill is slightly tougher then the "Combo Kill". This requires one or more of our token doublers Doubling Season, Anointed Procession, and Parallel Lives. Then you will need one or more of our token producers Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Garruk, Primal Hunter, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Nissa, Voice of Zendikar, and Sarkhan Unbroken. Create a good sized army of tokens and then buff them with a(n) Gideon, Ally of Zendikar emblem, Oath of Ajani, and/or Mirari's Wake. If no pumping is possible, using Sorin Markov's -3 works great.

Infect Kill - The least enjoyable kill in the deck, this revolves around resolving a Triumph of the Hordes with a large number of tokens.

Good Adds

Liliana Vess - -2 is a Vampiric Tutor. Always Great

Rings of Brighthearth - Double Ugin, the Spirit Dragons ultimate? yes please!

Manabase Upgrades

• Fetchlands - The definition of color fixing. Great with shocks and duals.

• Original Dual Lands - I'm not made of money, but if I was this is the first big upgrade I would give the deck.

Trap Cards

The Chain Veil - I had this in the deck for a while and quickly realized it was a dead card 95% of the time. The other 5% the deck was already winning so it wasn't really going to help.

Ajani Steadfast - Everyones first thought for a planeswalker deck. Add a loyalty counter why not? No. Having 1 extra loyalty counter is worthless compared to having another planeswalker doing something or a powerful enchantment such as Parallel Lives on the feild.

Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver - This has been suggested to me several times so I finally went out and got one. The deck does not do any milling and the +2 is not enough. A good card for a Mill-Heavy Meta.

Standouts

Doubling Season - Whenever a planeswaler enters the battlefield, it gets double loyalty. Umm... Broken. Ancestral Omniscience with a Tamiyo, Field Researcher. Easily the best card in the deck.

Captain Sisay - The only repeatable planeswalker tutor in the deck, if this is in the battlefield and not summoning sick you are winning the game.

Alhammarret's Archive - Breaks Ponder, Dack Fayden, Ajani, Mentor of Heroes' -8, and Jace, the Mind Sculptor.

Narset, Enlightened Master - Swing and get 4 planeswalkers . Why not?

Shadows Over Innistrad

Hello! It's time for some upgrades! The new additions are:

Second Harvest - I still can't believe this is an instant. A funny combat trick if there are already tokens out.

Descend upon the Sinful - Exile huh? I like it! Doesn't hit planeswalkers and gets around indestructible.

Cryptolith Rite - This card is ridiculous. Turns Elspeth, Sun's Champions +1 into 3 mana for next turn.

I am looking to get a new commander because chromat isn't doing anything. Maybe Progenitus?

Eldrich Moon

Oh boy! What a set. We have some sweet new additions along with a new commander. The New additions are:

Deploy the Gatewatch - I lost my mind when I saw this. In play testing, I am still yet to whiff. Funny synergy with Narset Transcendent.

Selfless Spirit - Cool add for board wipes. Sacrifice it, wipe the board, and keep your army of tokens going strong.

Oath of Liliana - In my "Meta" I have Narset, Enlightened Master and Uril, The Mistalker decks. This card shuts down both of them. Making 2/2 tokens is not something to ignore either.

Tamiyo, Field Researcher - Great palneswalker. Absolutely stupid with doubling season.

Progenitus - He's so awesome! WWUUBBRRGG is not impossible to achieve with this deck. Theoretically you could have him out on turn 3! (5 Lands, Burgeoning, and Mirari's Wake)

Kaladesh

Unfortunately there are no new good cards from this set. However, I did add a small Control/Filter package. This is because every time people see Progenitus they immediately start teaming up until someone else combos off. The new cards are:

Ponder - Great card filtering and the shuffle is awesome.

Preordain - More great card filtering.

Brainstorm - Duh. Noticeably good synergy with Alhammarret's Archive

Daze - Good Free (Kind of) counterspell. Perfect for early game surprises.

Counterspell - The OG. Great for everything.

Aether Revolt/C16

Well well well... 2 big things. First, we got a Karn Liberated!. Second, C16 happened. Our new adds are:

Deepglow Skate - This card had to be a mistake. This is now one of the most over performing cards in the deck.

Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis - First impressions aside, this is a strange pick for the deck. A friend of mine recommended it to me and I love it! A 2/8 blocker plus card draw and a little bit of group hug is amazing. Easily worth the include.

Oath of Ajani - Great card early and late game. The counters are amazing with Deepglow Skate and Doubling Season.

Many of you may notice there is no Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. This is because of 2 things. First, yes she does have four relevant keywords on the body of the creature. However, in EDH these mean very little and I think that instead of gaining four life I would rather have a big blocker or some card draw. Second, I found that the proliferate did not work as well as I had hoped. I was expecting to have an all-star in the deck and what I got was a lame duck. If you would like, I still recommend using her over any of the other C16 commanders except Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis.

Ahmonket

We got one new card from the new set. Gideon of the Trials seems great in everything but EDH. Nissa, Steward of Elements is great if you run more than 4 creatures. Our new card is Anointed Procession. This is a color-shifted reprint of Parallel Lives. Parallel Lives is already in the deck so this was a no-brainer.

There are also some new additions for consistency purposes. These are:

Shocklands! This took too long for me to do. These are great and work well with the buddy lands.

Bring to Light - Great in a five color deck! With an improved manabase we are able to hit the colors much more consistently.

Toxic Deluge - This is perfect for what we are trying to do in this deck. The life in EDH turns this into one of the best board wipes ever printed.

Enlightened Tutor - Gets Nevinyrral's Disk in times of need. Other good fetches are Doubling Season, Oath of Liliana, and Necropotence.

Vampiric Tutor - Fetches ANY CARD

Lastly, We have another new addition that is not here for consistency. This is :

Hero's Demise - I absolutely love this card. Nobody expects it! Extremely efficient and in a format dominated by legendary creatures, this over performs every time! Get your foils while you can because once this gets popular they will shoot up in price!

Hour of Devastation

For a set already being compared to Dragon's Maze we got some major benefits, including our biggest upgrade yet! This deck was competitive before, but now we have a game winning synergy to close out the game in 1-2 turns.

New Cards:

Nicol Bolas, God-Pharoah - The poster child of the set, this is amazing. The abilities are ridiculous for this deck. Both + abilities are great and the -12 almost wins the game on the spot. The -12 is now part of the main win condition for the deck.

Samut, the Tested - OMG! The deck has a new main win condition. Doubling Season into Samut, the Tested -7 and fetch any 2 walkers with Doubling Season on the field. I will go more in-depth in the Win Condition accordion.

Obzedat's Aid - Returns a walker or Doubling Season to the battlefield. Fetchable with Bring to Light.

Merciless Eviction - A great, flexible boardwipe. The exile all artifacts clause is especially useful.

Path to Exile - Modern's catch-all removal spell works great in EDH too! We are now able to efficiently remove any pesky commanders and other such creatures.

Strip Mine - With the printing of Hour of Promise this is now needed. Too many dumb things can be done with Hour of Promise. Fetching Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Cabal Coffers needs to be stopped.

Ixalan/C17

We've got three new cards including a new commander!

Captain Sisay - A repeatable planeswalker tutor! Because of the new legendary planeswalker rule/errata, this is now the best thing to get off of Bring to Light, save Obzedat's Aid in certain circumstances (Doubling Season in the graveyard).

Ramos, Dragon Engine - This include from C17 is great! We are often casting multicolor spells and we can always turn Ramos into a one-hit kill with or without Triumph of the Hordes.

Vraska, Relic Seeker - This synergizes great with the token strategy. The -10 resembles Sorin Markov's -3. That effect is very powerful in commander and definitely makes Vraska worth the include. I think the price is a little high right now, so I would wait for a month or two for things to hopefully cool down.
