Pretty simple in theory, might be difficult in execution.
Goal of this deck is to get
Dragon Tempest
and at least 3 goblin tokens onto the battlefield before turn 6. On turn 6, play Descent of the Dragons targeting all your goblins. They become dragons and deal damage to your opponent. You swing with your hasty dragons at your opponent. It's a good time.
The main part of this deck is to set up the combo pieces and use the draw spells most efficiently. You don't want to play Hordeling Outburst or Dragon Fodder too early because it leaves them open to removal. But if it is your only play or you NEED blockers, then go for it.
I always play
Divination
when I have a chance and Taigam's Scheming takes priority over Anticipate. It's just so good to set up your next few draws and get to exactly what you need to.
One thing you NEED to make sure of is that you have your goblins and
Dragon Tempest
down by the end of turn 5 so turn 6 you can use all your mana for Descent of the Dragons.
Now some people ma ask, "Why 30 lands? You're bound to get flooded." Although this is the case, you almost want to be flooded. You absolutely have to hit land drops on every turn between 1 and 6 to ensure the combo happens as soon as possible. And with all the card draw, you can most likely filter through it and get to the pieces you need.
Dragon Tempest
isn't necessary to annihilate your opponent, but it helps if you want to do it all on one turn without much chance for a response.
I know this deck is open to so much removal. It's just a casual budget deck I brought to FNM that no one was expecting and turned out pretty good. The faces of the people with multiple siege rhinos as I laid down 5 dragons and instantly dealt 25 damage was priceless. Try it out if you're looking for something cheap, fun, and new!
