aclazotz, deepest betrayal

Commander / EDH* Mono-Black

urgumflux

this is supposed to be a remake/upgrade of The Raven Man. it has a different approach but similar end point. raven man wanted me to discard a card in order to get a bird. aclazotz wants me to be empty handed so i can flip the land back over. they work different, but the end result is that i get hellbent and then play around that, which is MY ultimate goal, because thats fun.

aclazotz good with sac triggers. both bats, and things that want to sac a big creature. the act of discarding is not as rewarded, so things like cycling arent as good here, or "when you discard" triggers. i think ill want to get empty handed more through very fast mana and rituals and such. i also dont need to worry about discarding exactly 1 card each turn around the table, i just need to empty my hand. i think ill still want tutors for very important pieces like Amulet of Vigor and Blood Scrivener. lifegain on the commander that wants to attack is good i think. also my bats can block, so ill probably have more board presence. even still, i think reanimator should be the goal. also, my commander doesnt need me to be empty handed, its actually a heckbent commander. but i think ill still go for hellbent anyways.
