xzzane have you thought of Champion of the Parish? It's a really nice 1/1 that gets huge late game.

There is very little to make Champion bigger in this deck.
November 15, 2015 12:36 a.m.
Not worth it, and as rock said, there's very little I have that makes it stronger.

What about placing in one Swamp to be able to get your Lingering Souls flashbacked (a lot of your fetches are W/B so I can see this working).

If you read the description of my deck, I already run a single Godless Shrine for that purpose.
November 15, 2015 12:16 p.m.
Ah yes I always forget about those tricky Plain Swamp land; how they can still be fetched by fetches.

I like your deck a lot! Please mark it competitive, I think it's actually really strong.

I really love how quick the clock can be with Impact Tremors. I was thinking of making a project RW Token list, but is what do you think of Ajani Vengeant, Chandra, the Firebrand, and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar in a list?
December 1, 2015 2:44 p.m.
Impact Tremors is amazing. A turn two tremors can be devastating for the opponent. And none of those are best. The 4 cmc spot is best held by purphoros, and nothing else comes close to him. He acts as a punishing source of damage, making each token deal massive amounts of damage each token spell, and he can also serve as a surprise anthem at instant speed if your opponent doesn't know of purphoros's second ability. It's just not worth having other 4 cmc cards in the list.

Sorin, Solemn Visitor? You could splash black for him, and lingering souls flashback as well. I'm not sure if life is that much of a problem, but if so this guy would make a great addition.
December 5, 2015 10:37 p.m.
Mogis_Mtg, I already splash black actually with a single Godless Shrine. Purphoros is the better 4 cmc spot.
December 5, 2015 10:48 p.m.
Makes sense, I was not sure whether or not you had already contemplated it. Glad its going well. :)

Hey, what are your thoughts on Crumble to Dust for the tron matchup? These are absolutely lethal to a tron deck if they can't prevent it.

Crumble to dust will probably make it in here when I update this sideboard.

It's red midnight haunting with a 2/2 for with a relevant additional ability.

3 Purphoros, God of the Forges with ZERO Norin the Wary?? running 1-2 is fine. i don't see why you wouldn't. It's an unavoidable 4 damage a turn cycle.
June 9, 2016 12:45 p.m.
Norin is great early game, but not that great as a topdeck. In addition, he can't provide any stalling by blocking or extra damage by attacking.
June 9, 2016 12:55 p.m.
he does provide damage when attacking. He provides 2 to be exact, with purphy, lol.
Oh and btw, I made a r/w purphy deck with ensnaring bridge before. it was a unique way of protecting yourself while still being able to deal damage to the opponent. it was pretty consistent and gave me good win% but is a horrible matchup against abzan coco combo. so i stopped playing it for awhile, haha.
June 9, 2016 1:55 p.m.
You can't always rely on getting out purph though. And nice, I wouldn't have thought of bridge to be honest haha.

Unfortunately they are all too high cmc to use effectively. Launch the Fleet requires a steady field presence as well, and can be a very ineffective topdeck.
