Choice of Commander

While Drainpipe Vermin (Remy) is the honorary commander of this deck, Marrow-Gnawer (Remy's dad, Django) ultimately wins the spot because he's legendary. He's also in charge of the clan, for what it's worth.

Combos!

You know

• Marrow-Gnawer + Thousand-Year Elixir
• Marrow-Gnawer + Grave Pact (the Rat Pact)
• Conspiracy works with Ratcatcher, not to mention the rest of the deck
• Graf Rats + Midnight Scavengers (who really should be a rat -- fortunately Conspiracy fixes that)

But do you recall

The most flavorful combo of all?

It's Drainpipe Vermin + Hot Soup. Ah, Ratatouille, the only deck in which even the word "flavor" is flavorful!

Recommended House Rules

Remy (Drainpipe Vermin) is a mere 1/1, but with Hot Soup equipped, I'd recommend playing as if he had Phage the Untouchable's third ability. Yes, I think the little chef should be a 1-hit kill! Since Remy's not actually the general, it's unlikely to draw both cards, but what's more, the combo is easy to interact with and awfully flavorful.
