Samurai Jack

Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape shifting master of darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me.

Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time, and flung him into the future where my evil is law. Now the fool seeks to return to the past and undo the future that is Aku!

Gotta get back

Back to the past

Samurai Jack

I loved this cartoon growing up, and Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty just screams Samurai Jack vibes to me. So here is my attempt at an Isshin deck to do the age old cartoon some justice.

A lotta inspiration for this deck came from Crow_Umbra Musashi's Mosh Pit, this is just more of a Legendary twist and heavier on Treasures as well.

Strategy breakdown coming soon™ below:

Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose - potential game ender with a big swing + Lifelink to all

Anointed Procession is soo good here because it affects Tokens in general, meaning both Creature tokens and Treasure tokens. Because of this, it would be highly sought after as a Tutor target.

Mishra, Claimed by Gix   + Phyrexian Dragon Engine   = Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia     - this card is pretty crazy on it's own, but imagine the following scenario. It's late game, you draw one of the combo pieces, and tutor for the other one. You have 7 mana and play them simultaneously. You have Nahiri's Resolve and Isshin on the field. Hasted, they both attack and merge. Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia     enters, triggering. It attacks, triggering twice again. At the end of the turn, it blinks out from Nahiri's. That's 3 triggers in one turn, 9 activations (27 damage to their face), potentially before the opponent has a response. And now it's phased out on the opponents turn. Next turn, it enters, triggering again. Repeat.

Isshin, Two Heavens as One + Mishra, Claimed by Gix   + {Creature Token Generator(s)}: Leonin Warleader / Hero of Bladehold / Myrel, Shield of Argive / Otharri, Suns' Glory / Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin / Kambal, Profiteering Mayor / Anointed Procession - This one can get pretty nutty too, after just a couple swings with some of these token generators / doublers with Mishra or Kambal out, you could be looking at 20+ life gain / loss to opponent in one turn.
