a budget G/W build, revolving around Hardened Scales and Phalanx Leader giving everything loads of counters. This in combination with the evasion and safety from Abzan Falconer and Tuskguard Captain pushes damage through quickly.

The other creatures are a few old friends:
Fabled Hero,
Favored Hoplite , and
Setessan Oathsworn

Brave the Sands keeps creatures up to block, to use for Devouring Light, or to double chump with a Gods Willing

Ordeal of Heliod is a star in this deck, placing 2 counters on a heroic creature then another 2 counters when it attacks, gaining 10 life the turn it comes down. Similarly Feat of Resistance places 4 counters on a heroic creature.

Devouring Light for removal. Works well with Brave the Sands

Feat of Resistance and Gods Willing keep my creatures safe and place counters, either from the card or from heroic (or both).

Solidarity of Heroes is here for fun. whats better than a Favored Hoplite with 5 counters? well, if you have hardened scales out, you can target the Hoplite, placing 2 counters, then double the number plus the extra from scales. so (5 + 2 + 8) = 15 counters.

The sideboard consists of removal, Phyrexian Revoker, and Mistcutter Hydra.
