It occurred to me that this pretty obvious shell would be better suited to Modern than Historic. So much of the ladder is clogged with a Lifegain deck that the shell would struggle with this, and while it's weak in Modern, a lot of the holes the deck has work better here. Of course, the big question is why you'd want to play this shell instead of just regular Merfolk, already not a top dog deck. And the answer is to play with explore creatures.
