The purpose of the desk is to get alot of mana as early as possible and kill the opponent with either fireballs, colossus of akros, vent sentinel or Chandra Nalaar. you often only need to get to turn seven or eight before you can do lethal damage with one of the four, unless you are playing a control matchup, where the enemy will be able to remove axebane guardian, overgrown battlement or vent sentinel. If you are against a control deck, I suggest to run four oblivion ring instead of lightning bolts. I don't know a great deal about MGT and it's meta, so you can probably come with better sugestions than that.
Sweet combos in the deck:Axebane guardian and overgrown battlements are sort of the lynchpins in this opperation, they provide alot of mana for things like fireballs and colossus, but another thing they do in the deck is make sure you can play to or three defenders each turn. Say you have two mana defenders out and you want to play a wall of omens, well that wall might as well be free because when it's out it gives one more mana from the mana defenders, it dosen't really matter that they tap since you don't want to defend with them anyway, they are too valuable for that.
Hornet nest is a really cool card for a couple of reasons, first of all, your opponent is gonna be scard shitless to attack with any big guys unless they have trampel and second of all even if they do have trampel you can lightning bolt your own hornet nest before blockers are declared to get three 1/1 flying deathtouch minions to block with.
Wall of reverence is in the deck to stall, and even on its own it does a good job. It stops your oppenent from attacking with any one toughness creatures and there isn't really alot for four mana that has six power. Furthermore it makes a godlike combo with Rage Nimbus and Colossus of Akros healing five or ten each turn is no small deal, and if you are against a swarm deck you can use Rage Nimbus in tendem with wall of revernence to clear to minions a turn.
Perimeter Captain is just a good card, the stats alone make it great and the fact that all defenders gain the ability to heal you when they block is just insane, this also works great together with Rage Nimbus you can force your opponent to attack with a small 1/1 or something and then block it with all your 0/4 defenders, in some situations you don't actually want to kill it since you can just do the same thing next turn and out heal your opponents damage.
Black or white? When i started making this deck I wanted to make it three color to simplify it a little, although i ran into some trouble in actually choosing the colors since all five have great defenders. You could easily make this deck more "kill the opponent" esque by replacing the white cards with black ones like: wall of bone,Wall of souls and removal like go for the throat or doomblade.
