Sideboard

Load the board up with cheap pseudo-walls like Disowned Ancestor , Jeskai Barricade, and Nyx-Fleece Ram to stop early damage, and then turn them into real threats with Assault Formation.

The removal package is rather small because I'm trying to turn it into a more aggressive deck with more of a focus on efficient creatures. Commune with the Gods is intended to dig up the very necessary Assault Formation, but even when you already have it, you can dig up some powerful creatures. Whisperwood Elemental is there to provide some protection from board wipes, and Siege Rhino and Whip of Erebos are just too good to pass up.

I was originally going to run 10 one-mana 0/4s (among Lagonna-Band Trailblazer , Disowned Ancestor , and Yoked Ox ), but six of them were cut for the more useful creatures like Jeskai Barricade and Whisperwood Elemental.

The problems: Assault Formation is kind of the backbone of the deck, so it falls to enchantment hate. For that reason, I was considering cards like Kin-Tree Invocation to make aggressive tokens in the presence of these walls. I also considered Fruit of the First Tree to take advantage of the high toughness, but I feel like it's just not enough.

It also struggles against fliers. For that reason, I added two Spidersilk Net to the main board as a persistent answer to flying creatures. I'm also considering adding a few Shape the Sands because even when the reach isn't needed, they both push through extra points of damage if Assault Formation is on the board. It'll take a bit of playing against real deck to determine the best answer. It might be more efficient and flexible to just expand the removal package, and I'm considering a couple of Foul Renewal for 2-for-1 removal and creature advantage.
