Greetings my fellow humans and magic players, today I present my second attempt and deck brewing! This is my take/attempt at the spirits tribal that may be a thing.
This deck in the broadest sense plays the tempo game why trying to control the board... I think... let me know what you think as any suggestions/advice are appreciated!
Starting with the spirit theme, Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit and Rattlechains are our MVPs. Ana provides the bolster our weenie spirits need while rattle chains provides that AMAZING flash for spirits and protection to boot.
Spectral Shepherd
is a nice spirit body while providing a segue to the second part of our deck... The spooky part.
Spectral Shepherd
's ability allows us to pull our spirits back from blocks, leaving our attackers swinging at air. The effect also lets us dodge removal, allowing them to stay in the game longer. I wonder what else could have this same effect but cheaper and provide an upside? oh yea Essence Flux is a thing... oh lookie there its Eerie Interlude as well! Playing these spells at the right time can make for massive blowouts. In a land of flipping Archangel Avacyn
, its nice to take a good interlude every now and than. Lets throw in a few Eldrazi Displacer too for this effect on demand.
Ok so we got a lot of blinking, how do we abuse this? Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit will bolster our team nicely, but we need more. You all know where I'm going... Reflector Mage becomes broken in this deck. Also we can blink Rattlechains to get some hexproof on demand.
To round out the edges and provide some end game, we got Dragonlord Ojutai , Ojutai's Command , and
Clash of Wills
.
Over all its been standing alright in testing. I've noticed that its weak against blacks "target player sacrifices X" spells. Cards I'm considering: Icefall Regent ,
Silumgar's Scorn
, and Bygone Bishop. Please let me know what you think!
Cheers and draw well my friends.
