Sideboard

I started out in standard with the "Wrath of the Mortals" event deck and am using that as a base for a budget Modern deck. Criticism is both needed and appreciated.

Why I used the cards I used:

Creatures:

Delver of Secrets: So much value, U for a high chance of getting a 3/2 beater in the air!

Young Pyromancer: Helps me get more value out of my spells, 1/1's are small but they can be chump-blockers or swing in for the kill.

Augur of Bolas: He has dig and a body, my budget Snapcaster Mage. I prefer him over Stormchaser Mage because since Stormchaser is a bit too aggresive for this deck.

Spells:

Electrolyze: Even if it's pretty expensive, it has a lot of value dealing two damage spread out and replacing itself while triggering our creatures. It's very versatile.

Izzet Charm: Versatility and cheapness is the reason this is in my deck. The first mode is good against the mirror and really any deck that aggressively casts spells like burn. The second mode helps remove opposing delvers and other troublesome blockers. The third mode is pretty good for filtering useless cards from my hand. My budget alternative for spell pierce. However, it is weak and clunky, so it's a two of.

Lightning Bolt: Probably the best card in the deck. Can remove blockers, attackers, or hit your opponent in the face.

Mana Leak: Very good early game counterspell, I mostly use it to stop early removal. My budget Remand.

Peek: Helps us see what our opponent is playing and activates our creatures while drawing me cards. My budget Gitaxian Probe.

Telling Time: Can activate a delver at instant speed and draws me a relevant card. My budget Serum Visions.

Vapor Snag: This card is a tempo all star! It's extremely cheap, both in cmc and $. It returns a creature to your opponents hand for 1 mana and they lost one life. SO MUCH VALUE.

Dispel: Protect our creatures from removal. Thanks to Riotary for the suggestion!

Mana Base: All the math is done! The ratio is appropriate! More fine tuning is needed!

Sideboard:

Negate: Good against the control matchup or opposing delver.

Skullcrack: Pretty good against Soul Sisters and other lifefink.

Tormod's Crypt: Stop people from doing graveyard shenanigans.

Dragons Claw: Mono red and the mirror.

Dispel: Good against control decks.

Thanks for reading! Sorry for it being so long. I wanted to explain my choices. I really do appreciate criticism, I'm quite a noob to modern. I NEED SIDEBOARD HELP!

Edit: This list is finished, I'm deciding to build a delver deck with a $100 budget instead of this. But, I'll let this deck live.
