Abzan Graveyard (Standard MTG Deck)

Midrange Abzan deck that focuses on milling and abusing powerful delve cards like Murderous Cut and Necropolis Fiend as well as Deathmist Raptor and Den Protector. The deck attempts to boost consistency by using cards like Satyr Wayfinder and Gather the Pack (both of which, incidentally, can hit the field before Anafenza), so you get the cards you want more often than not. Furthermore, Den Protector and Nyx Weaver, which also helps me mill things, help me fetch cards from my graveyard according to my needs, so this deck also attempts to use the grave as a toolbox. Caryatid is an excellent mana ramp, as always, and Siege Rhino is an Abzan staple. All in all, although the deck profits from filling the graveyard, it tries to perform well without the mechanic as well.

Necropolis Fiend seems very situational and clunky, while Tasigur has the best case scenario of a turn-three Tarmogoyf (which isn't hard to set up in this deck), and worst case scenario that is still better than that of Necropolis. Tasigur's ability seems to be just icing, as it costs a whopping 4 mana, and doesn't need to be used if it clashes with Deathmist Raptor. Regardless, in some situations, the ability can be a real boon. All in all, Tasigur seems like a solid card that is at least a one-of in this deck. I'm adding 2 until I can find something else that fits better.
