Had become very uninspired with Modern, then saw this deck (well, I probably changed it a bit at least), and finally found myself excited again. I mean, who doesn't love EtB effects, right? Also, Wall of Omens is one of my favorite Magic cards, so I was mainly looking at ways to play that in Modern.

And, every now and then, I get to just Kiki/Resto off, which I can't complain about.

The original deck had blue in it just for Venser, Shaper Savant main a couple sideboard cards. I like Venser quite a bit, but just not enough to make the mana so much less reliable.

The deck as I originally saw it on TCGPlayer was by bigbeau called Ghostway.

While there are many, many interactions in the deck that I could talk about (probably some I haven't even noticed yet), I'll just say that the general idea of the deck is to generate value from EtB effects plus recooping them with Ghostway and Restoration Angel , and then finding either the answer you need or the way to win the game with Chord of Calling. One important interaction to mention is how Eternal Witness works with Chord and Ghostway. You won't get priority to choose your target for Witness until after the spell has resolved, so you can get the spell back with Witness. This even gives you a chain for Kiki/Resto combo from one Chord (albeit a pretty slow chain). You get Witness with the first Chord, then get back Chord. Then you Chord for Resto, blinking Witness, getting back Chord again. Then you Chord for Kiki.

I made a similar sort of deck (although Abzan and more similar to a Death and Taxes deck) right after Pod was banned, and enjoyed it fairly well. This version just seems like it gets to have even more fun.
