Does Dovin Baan put in the required work here? I feel he can.... His +1 seems useful for controlling threats to hit the midrange, his -1 draws, which the deck is just is uber hungry for and becomes alot better when +1'ing Nahiri, the Harbinger, and his Ult will essentially win games.... I am just not sure if I am reaching to far with him in the list or not.

I think Dovin Baan fits better into an Esper Walkers list than Jeskai. Maybe swap those to like Saheeri or a 5/6 drop walker. Your 4 drop slot is too heavy with all those walkers i think. Maybe try Jace, Unraveler in that slot instead?

I feel you, I think dropping Dovin Baan for either a second Saheeli Rai or a third Nahiri, the Harbinger is the play.

The deck wants to get to either a Saheeri Ult, or a Nahiri Ult. Both essentially will win the game when I am sneaking in the gear hulks.... 2 Combustible followed by a Torrential means I am either drawing upto 6, dealing upto 6 of CMC as damage to the dome, and then snapcasting FTW, followed up a swing for what should be beyond lethal.

Playtesting shows that 1x Panharmonicon works when ult'ing Saheeli Rai into Panharmonicon, Combustible Gearhulk Torrential Gearhulk turn 7 in that order.

Thanks for all the love TappedOut fam! I am enjoying building this list VERY much and has currently made its way to my confirmed first build of the new standard. I am currently in the process of putting together what I have, and from my case (yes, I ordered a case of Kaladesh, I am the worst type of person) I should easily get all the pieces I need.

Please continue to test it, break it, beat it and most of all help me build it!

Feedback will be needed more then ever moving forward to polish this glorious tri-colored turd into the magnificent manifestation of awesomeness I know it can be!

Eldrazi Displacer fits so well in this deck. It lets you recycle any Gearhulk ETB effects, and also lets you reuse greats like the Reflector Mage and Spell Queller - With Spell Queller the fun really starts when you use it to stop one of your own spells - say something you want to cast next turn, but won't have the mana for next turn(since you're setting off the combo next turn). So you Quell your own thing - then, Displace the Queller when you're ready and your spell returns. When Queller re-hits the field, you can stop your opponent's thing from going off. If you stack it right, it's just ridiculous, and may cause some tables to be flipped.

Yes, I love jank combos, but tell me how this wouldn't be awesome if and when you pull it off!

Pretty sweet. I'm running a Grixis version of this deck that focuses on artifacts more than this. It's Grixis Artifacts. I like what you've done here, so if you can help me out that would be great.

Thanks for the comments guys! risencambrie The list uses pieces from Kaladesh, which will be available Sept 30th. At which point the list will be Standard legal :)

I may be wrong, I haven't payed much attention to standard in a while, but won't Reflector Mage be rotated out once Kaladesh hits?

There are better flickers for this than Eldrazi Displacer. Maybe something like...

-4 Eldrazi Displacer

-3 Fiery Temper

-2 Radiant Flames

+4 Acrobatic Maneuver

+3 Goblin Dark-Dwellers

+2 Eerie Interlude

These all combo off way better than the Displacers imo, and you don't have to worry about the colorless mana to trigger. You look to hard cast the GDDs to cast more control cards for keeping PWs safe, and keep the Gearhulks for the ults.

The other bounces enable you to flicker Reflector Mages for board control early game as well. If you manage 2 Reflector Mages + Panharmonicon + Eerie Interlude at any point in the game, it'll likely be gg right there.

I really like Authority of the Consuls. Such great value for early game delay with this style deck. Not sure where it could fit though. Not sure it's necessary since you can usually stabilize by turn 5. Not sure how strong Red Deck Wins + Vehicles yet though...

rph12 You make valid points, I dont like dropping Temper and Flames, as I need to be able to remove threats as typically my PW's are going to be open for beats.... and stopping the PW's stops the deck.

I am however, strongly considering Eerie Interlude over Eldrazi Displacer the only reason I am not 100% for it, is as stated above, protection for the PW's

The deck is able to cycle fairly efficiently, so hitting a Mirrorpool or two, normally happens within 7 turns.

Adding 4x Authority of the Consuls and 1x Perpetual Timepiece as soon as they become linkable on the site.... Not sure whats coming out yet

September 16, 2016 2:29 p.m.

divinagon says... #20

Why the Timepiece?

September 16, 2016 2:37 p.m.

xGhostx Oh awesome. Nevermind then.

xGhostx says... #22

@ divinagon just as a 1of, to recover if the gearhulks and/or the PW's get killed off for whatever reason. This deck winning a game without PW's and Gearhulks becomes very difficult :)

Timepiece will more then likely fit in the SB, not the MB

Ok. Sideboard makes sense, but I could't find a reason for it in the mainboard.

Playing with the idea of adding the Noxious Gearhulk and Verdurous Gearhulk as 1of's MB to hit off the PW Ults.

In my opinion, I love this list, but I feel like if I left the displacers in then I would sub at least 2 or 3 basic lands for a couple evolving wilds and 1 basic waste card just in case I'm having trouble getting the colorless mana source.
