Just about every creature in here will pull removal from your opponent and the biggest downside is a board can get wiped by a drown in sorrow or anger of the gods. However, by that time you can hopefully drop Purphoros and just burn them by dropping tokens. For example, howl of the horde prior to raise the alarm or hordeling outburst burns for 12 or 18 damage (with raid), 8 or 12 (without raid).

Sideboard provides some more control options

Purphoros allows for extra burn, with a lot of synergy. With Purphoros in play Brimaz or Rabblemaster don't only produce a 1/1 they shock the opponent.

Goldfishing provides a consistent turn 5 win, with or without the extra burn from Purphoros.
