Is a 14 land white weenie deck viable? You bet your sweet bippy it is! I solitaired 100 games with this build and here is the breakdown.
The mulligan rate is higher than normal at 34% but I only had zero lands in my opener 11% of the time. The majority of my mulligans were with one landers (I'm picky). Most of the hands could've been keepers but I usually only keep one landers if I have four or five one drops to go with it. I also mulliganed three four land hands and one five lander. Most of the mulligans were only down to six but I did have to mulligan to five cards twelve times. Once you mulligan you HAVE TO keep a one lander. This will change once the London mulligan is implemented as finding two landers will more than likely increase by 10%-15%.
One land hands - 58%
Two land hands - 30%
Three land hands - 8%
Four land hands - 3%
Five land hands - 1%
I also kept track of the lands as I drew them and land draws on curve were at 27%. This deck does miss land drops like crazy though. Don't think it won't, but getting a second or third land in the top ten cards is, in my opinion, nearly assured at an astounding 87% rate.
Second land drops
Turn two 27%
Turn three 34%
Turn four 26%
Turn five or later/never 13%
In addition, there were only four games out of a hundred where I did not see a second land in the top twenty cards. But of course Legion's Landing is basically an extra land so getting it flipped thanks to all your one drops is stupid easy. One landers off of curve with Legion's Landing in hand is 57%
Well that's my 14 land white weenie. And remember kids, it's not the size of your mama base that counts but how you use it.
