Triton Tactics is an interesting idea I didn't think about. It was once in my sideboard before I even got the idea to put Yisan in, but I took it out because without Yisan it just didn't have enough utility since Prophet of Kruphix pretty much did it's job but better.
I really like Karametra's Acolyte, but what would I take out of the mainboard to put that in? I feel like my deck would be a bit light on threats if I took out any creatures for more ramp.
As for Soul of Zendikar, I have been on the fence about replacing him, but I think that suggestion seals the deal. Hydra Broodmaster sounds like the perfect candidate too. I'm probably going to throw in Arbor Colossus in the sideboard and flip-flop him with Broodmaster for those faster matchups with flyers and the like.
Thanks for the input!

If you want some monster profile ideas, you can look at my simic, it's not a Yisan deck, just standard Simic Ramp. The Hulk. Big, Green, and Mean
I like adding Arbor Colossus in. As for what I would get rid of to make room? probably side board Hornet Queen and just remove Hornet Nest and go 1 less Prognostic Sphinx With removing Soul of Zendikar, that is 7 spots that open up.. I would recommend 2 Hydra Broodmaster, 2 Arbor Colossus, and 3 Karametra's Acolyte.
You shouldn't worry too much about being low on threats, The whole point of Yisan is that you can pick and choose the threats you play from everything in your deck.
Also, after playing with both, I am a bigger fan of See the Unwritten than I am Chord of Calling. It relies on a little more on luck/your deck profile, but it can bring out two creatures and it isn't dependent on the mana you pay.
Does your Jace, the Living Guildpact play well in this deck? Or do you normally find it a bit of a let down? I can see how he would be beneficial, but I can also see him being a bit of a dead draw.

Truth be told, I haven't played with Jace, the Living Guildpact enough to have a complete opinion on him. Before I started this Yisan experiment, Jace did pretty well by helping me more quickly cycle through my deck and plan my draws, not to mention being able to bounce critical creatures and slow my opponent down a lot. I also liked that he provided blue devotion for the potential to trigger Thassa, God of the Sea. I am coming to the realization that I really only need Thassa for her ability to make creatures unblockable, and with Yisan shuffling my deck multiple times per turn, Jace's +1 is pretty irrelevant. His -3 alone is almost enough to justify keeping him, but it's iffy.
I'll try to play around with the card numbers and see what shows up for me. I think I'd sideboard Sagu Mauler before I sideboard Hornet Queen, but removing Hornet Nest isn't a bad idea actually. I do often feel that It's too easy for my opponents to play around Hornet Nest and with the ramp Karametra's Acolyte would give me, I should be much more able to bring out a Hornet Queen in time to stop any midgame aggression.

Flying/Deathtouch + Settessan Tactics owns this deck.

Flying/Deathtouch + Setessan Tactics owns almost any deck that has creatures in it. Besides, that very same combo exists in my deck as well, for exactly that reason. If I saw that combo coming I would save at least one Stubborn Denial to counter the spell, and then probably use a Setessan Tactics of my own to clear his board in response. Of course it depends on the draws and the matchup, but I can pretty reliably see at least one if not two Stubborn Denials by the time any threat like that is on board.

I really don't see how flying assists with Setessan Tactics. The damage caused by this ability does not negate damage from non-fliers to fliers. If you are talking about the deathtouch insects from Hornet Queen or Hornet Nest well yeah, they are a real thing and great 1 for 1 control mechanisms. Though things like this are why you sideboard Ranger's Guile and Crypsis.

Yeah, I imagine he was talking specifically about the hornets. Ranger's Guile is nice but for the same cost, Stubborn Denial counters the spell in the same way, but can do even more, such as stopping Crackling Doom, and can stop the enemy from casting spells that could seriously disrupt your plans, like Villainous Wealth. Keeping my plans uninterrupted is quite important for this deck to work, so I throw in an additional 3 Negates for the control matchups.

I don't disagree, I run stubborn denial in my deck as well. I was only meaning Ranger's Guile in addition to Stubborn Denial against decks heavy in that whole "screw your spells/creatures theme.

You have only 6 creatures with power 4 or greater. Stubborn Denial isn't that reliable is it?

Nevermind, must have missed the Chord of Calling.

Certainly a much trimmed down and upscale version. Thanks for the suggestions.

A few things. You might want to consider a greater amount of ramping to consistently hit Yisan, the Wanderer Bard multiple times per turn.
The greatest budget ramper is Karametra's Acolyte. You may also want to consider putting Triton Tactics into the sideboard. Triton Tactics will let you (assuming you have lots of mana from ramping, this is a T4-7 type move), tap yisan, get your creature, untap yisan with Kiora's Follower, tap yisan again, then play Triton Tactics for 1, untapping both Yisan and Kiora's Follower to do it all over again. That's hitting Yisan for a potential total of 4 times in 1 turn.
This also works as an amazing ramp with Kiora's Follower + Triton Tactics + Karametra's Acolyte , tap acolyte for mana, untap with kiora, tap for mana, triton tactics, repeat.
Also, I would get rid of Soul of Zendikar for a couple of Hydra Broodmaster. With the mana ramp trick mentioned above, you can set yourself up for 8 8/8 hydras pretty easily.
It also works well against other big creature decks for boosting defense and freezing down creatures for a turn. Just a thought.
