So when I first started playing magic, the mechanic that got me interested was the miracle mechanic from Avacyn Restored. It was such a fun mechanic, I wanted to brew a deck out of it. I was pretty successful with the standard deck I made with it back in the day. Soon after it rotated out, I wanted to find a way to play it in modern. There was not that much cards to build from, but after a few other set releases (And a bit of testing), I finally got it down and I'm ready to share the list and how the deck works.
The goal of this deck is to control the board with burn spells and wrath effects so you can pull your miracle cards as late game finisher. If that plan doesn't work, then just burn their face for the win and its kay.
There is not that many lands for something that requires you to ramp for your miracle cards. So to help you, you have mana rocks! Boros Signet and Pentad Prism. These are easy turn two plays that can get you ahead of the game. You also have other artifacts to help smooth out the deck for your miraculous shenanigans.
Crystal Ball, the only form of deck manipulation in modern that can help you setup whatever you need off the top of your deck. Whether you need to kill off a threat on the board, or even to set up miracles, this got your back. Only two in the deck because you don't want to pull this often. besides two is good enough on the board so you can see up to four cards need be.
The Trading post is probably your "get back in the game" card most of the time. it can help you out in any situation. Make a guy to block, get some life back, recurring your artifacts back, or even drawing setup miracle cards of the top of your deck, it does it all.
These artifacts are what makes the deck work, and can also interact wtih some other cards as well. Burn spells such as Galvanic Blast and Shrapnel Blast to get rid of big threats, or to even burn your opponents face, Trading Post to get your miraculous plays on your opponents turn, and Chandra's parents are even in here to help out with the artifact manipulation.
As for your miracle cards, You have thirdteen cards that I would consider Miracle cards:
Entreat the Angels
Bonfire of the Damned
Terminus
Wrath of God
Lets start with Terminus and Wrath of God. These are your sweepers. You pull this more often and it will usually get some people. Especially during an aggressive format as of when I put this up, this will save your live more than anything
Bonfire is your other sweeper, but not only its a sweeper, it can burn your opponent which is important when it can be your secondary win condition.
and Entreat the Angels, one of my favorite miracles, but also one of my worst miracles in the deck. This card should never be pulled that often as it gets clunky when you don't want it most of the time, especially when you are holding wraths. The only time I need it is when you want to show lethal to your opponent right away (Hence why entreat is your win conditions), but when you do play it, it puts them in a terrible situation.
The last few cards are Boros Charm and Two copies or Noxious Revival. Boros Charm is just another burn spell at your opponent, but it does have other applications when the moment comes. Then the Noxious Revival, one of your other set up cards if your miracle cards are in your graveyard. Not only that, but this is hilarious to play when you got a miracle card in your graveyard and you just want to get another miracle off or just another burn spell to finish your opponent. Noxious revival is one of your important cards in your deck.
So thats the deck. Hopefully you like it, give the deck some ratings and please share it too! Thank you for looking at the deck!
