This is the most recent iteration of my Rakdos, Lord of Riots deck. The idea of this deck has always been to make sure it stays at a fairly low power level for playing casual games, which it still is. While it does have a bunch of high-impact, high-power cards at the top of the curve, it is extremely susceptible to board wipes, sticky minions, and finds itself targeted while developing. Threat assessment is interesting. You can have a Meren filling their graveyard every turn with a Mike and Trike, Kessa combo assembling a massive hand/graveyard ready to go off at any minute, and players will still respond to the Rakdos-fueled boardstate before any of those other threats.

The Rakdos deck is my very first EDH deck (and the first deck I built after getting back into MtG!) and I got what I wanted out of it, but I think I am ready to move on. The stretches of time from when I wanted to play with it kept getting longer, and longer, and then when I finally pulled it out again last night I was bored! I think my playstyle is no longer Timmy enough to be satisfied with a bunch of big monsters punching people.

The one moment in the last game I played with it where I just has a barrel of monkey was when I had Vial Smasher and Kaervek side by side bopping people and doing things. So I might look to see what kind of control deck would be possible utilizing Vial Smasher.
