I think Taysir or Teferi would be a better Infinity Man.

Eh I don't read that much into Teen Titans so the update is needed =)
Thanks :P
That series must have been release just in between the Final Crisis/New 52 Reboot
I MUST ACQUIRE IT NOW.

I would say Karona, False God might make a good Lex Luthor or Braniac!

@Caligula, yea I could see that.
I want to make a Black Lantern deck, but atlas, Yawgmoth never made it to card form. He would be the perfect Black Hand.
June 3, 2014 5:08 p.m.
Hahaha, Black Hand was sooo cool throughout that series.
Erebos, God of the Dead would have to be Nekron for sure :P
Sorry about the thread jacking that happened UrbanAnathema

What? Well, yea Black Hand was cool, but William Hand himself, not so much. Last I heard of him, he was nothing more than a gibbering mad man, under the "protection" of the Indigo Tribe.
I apologize as well, UrbanAnathema.

Hey there! I know I've said it before, but I love the deck :) Anything with Bloom Tender
in it is a favorite of mine. I did have one card I wanted to bring to your attention just in case your meta is moving in a similar direction as mine.
A card I've enjoyed success with lately is Swan Song
. In my green-based combo decks (I have an elf combo deck as well as a defender combo deck similar to this) I have put it in the "protection slot" (much like the Mizzium Skin
you have in your deck).
I've just seen a lot of Anger of the Gods lately in Modern (at least the area here and what I've seen online) and while it does give the opponent a 2/2 flyer; generally it won't matter given the "combo" nature of the deck (i.e. I plan on winning prior to a single flying creature being an issue :) You have Dauntless Escort as well; so it's not nearly as important in later game "defensive" situations; but it can even sometimes function as a way of cutting off your opponent from doing something (i.e. Splinter Twin , etc.) if you prefer to use it that way....
Anywho; just thought I'd suggest it just in case you were running into a lot of Anger of the Gods (especially on the draw vs opponents who can cast it on their turns 3 or 4) at all; or just to test and see if it pans out. Hope this helps!

CurdBrosBrewingCo Thanks for the suggestion. Not a bad idea at all. Anger of the Gods has gotten to be en vogue lately with Theros. Usually I have sided in Mana Leak in those situations but you're right Swan Song is a nice one drop solution! Thanks as always!

I haven't seen any of the previous comments, but I don't think you need Avacyn or Emrakul. When you go off it's easy enough to find a Banefire . They seem like they're right in between going off and playing big threats cause you can, and it seems to detract from the core plan of the deck. You could up the count of combo pieces, or transmute cards.

ChiefWannaHacka On Avacyn you are probably right. Her presence is really as an additional wincon I can grab through the ramp without necessarily going infinite.
Emrakrul is there mostly in order to be able to get the additional turn and win before the opponent can respond and to have a wincon against decks running Leyline of Sanctity (as a common sideboard component against the meta).

i like the deck and theme! I found that there are 5 different ramp defender creatures, so i've tried to find a deck based around that; which runs similarly to this!
I love the interaction between Beacon of Tomorrows
and X cost draw spells like, Blue Sun's Zenith
, Sphinx's Revelation
and Invoke the Firemind
! It grants you a lovely, almost infinite turn combo, allowing you to ramp into a huge instant death burn spell!
if you're having trouble with Leyline of Sanctity
would something like Debt to the Deathless
be an idea? obviously the colours could be an issue, but i think that would be negated by your Birds of Paradise
and Axebane Guardian
From play testing, i would highly recommend Blue Sun's Zenith or Sphinx's Revelation , as you can cast the x cost card at the end of their turn, and start your turn with a huge card advantage, and full mana!
Just having trouble getting things set and moving with the deck though, as its in it's first draft! Would love so ideas, and input from someone who's been playing the deck type a while!
Defenders of Infinite!!

Thanks for the feedback Pyroshade! I took a look at your deck and I like the defender theme. It reminds me of how this deck originally started. (Originally it was a defender ramp to cast Omniscience and Enter the Infinite but once I moved toward the infinite mana combo I ditched those and moved toward cards I could easily exploit with infinite mana.
The reason personally I would stay away from Blue Sun's Zenith and Sphinx's Revelation is because they are too color intensive outside of the X cost. Since Bloom Tender is my alternative infinite mana target...(which in contract to Axebane only gives me infinite G most of the time) I want to be able to use cards that I can easily with access to only G. Hence Staff of Domination to draw my entire deck and cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn (giving me a second turn and use Kessig Wolf Run to pump a creature to infinite power with trample and attack or infinite Banefire or Pyromatics (sideboarded in case of decks running Swerve )

With the intoduction of Sylvan Caryatid and Mana Confluence on top of City of Brass mana fixing such colours is not too much of a challenge, with Birds of Paradise added in it would also become easier!
I want to try stay away from emrakul etc, as i think tron would still outpace us in that department, it is why i was looking the almost infinate turns loop, because it does shut out all other deck types requiring less sideboard and deck counters!
I think that with new opptions alvailble in new sets, this could become much more streamlined!

Being able to cast Emrakul on T3 is going to win me the game. Not worried about being outpaced by Tron. The deck is able to consistently win between T3 and T5. Sylvan Caryatid is also a card I used to run in this deck but decided to drop in favor of Birds of Paradise and a full playset of Overgrown Battlement in order to drop Prime Time on T3 or T4 and grab Kessig as an alternative Wincon.
Making a Five Color deck viably competitive means keeping multicolored cards to a minimum. My only multicolor cards are support cards, not my win cons.

I am attempting a version of this deck today. We'll see how she goes hahahah

Shmu Thanks for the suggestion and the kind words. It would actually make an excellent alt wincon. Only drawback is its truly a dead card without comboing out for infinite mana.

UrbanAnathema Mana balancing this beast is hard.. DAMN.
NEED MOAR BRASS.
:P
I'll have to post it asap, Pretty funny though, I'm trying to abuse Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker and Worst Fears
