Don't think so grasshopper021 since they are all 0 toughness without Assault Formation and AF has that ability anyway.

Um, would Doran, the Siege Tower be worth playing? I know it would maake the deck 4 color, but its a thought

Lol, I am in love with this deck! My only problem is i think Genesis Wave should be cut down to 2 or 3 in my opinion. while i was playtesting this deck I came across when I didn't need it and they became dead draws. but that's just me. +1

Thanks 21 I actually think you're right. I decided to reduce it by 1 and add a Forest. Additionally added another Wall of Denial over running 2 Greater Auramancy
Basically want to increase the changes of dropping it T2 in order to buy time for Worship.

Just a little heads up that the spoiler doesn't work. Other than that, I like the new build a lot.

Thanks FAMOUSWATERMELON. Yeah I need to figure out what's up with the spoiler. Sadly playing with HTML on the phone isn't gonna be on the agenda today.

Love the deck, UrbanAnathema! +1! Can you give me some big creature suggestions for my deck, Pauper edh viridian joiner ramp! It averages it'aUlamog's Crusher turn 4 so it needs more big creatures!

Could you give some suggestions if I were to build this on a budget? +1

I don't want to spend more than ~$5 on a single card, although I'd be willing to drop on Staff of Domination if there isn't an alternative. The mana base is a big issue. I could probably afford the new BFZ tangos, but fetches are out.

OK...I would highly recommend shelling out for the Colonnades as well, since they are able to provide you with a viable threat w/o AF as well as a means to survive a board wipe with Worship in play. Other than that, you can likely play Remands over Spellskite though it will hurt your offensive potential a tad. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is useful for it's ability to reshuffle your graveyard back into your deck, and the ability to give you another turn for attack after comboing out with Staff...but as an alternative you could use Tree of Redemption or Colossus of Akros as your giant beatstick.

Are there any replacements for Staff of Domination, Leyline of Sanctity, and Blood Moon? They're quite pricey ATM. Also, thanks for the suggestions. I really want to make this deck, and you're helping a lot!

No replacement for Staff of Domination it's pretty much the key combo enabler. If you don't want the combo wincon, you can go with perhaps adding Wall of Denial to buy yourself some more time to win with AF. Magus of the Moon is a slightly cheaper option than Blood Moon. I think it's about $27. Leylines have actually been plummeting so I would pick them up now, however for a budget alternative I would try Story Circle.
I would definitely strongly recommend keeping the Staffs and the Colonnades as they are only 2OFs in the deck, and the deck is so much better with them than without them. Without them, Pithing Needle pretty much ends your day.

Would Lumbering Falls be a suitable substitute for Celestial Colonnade?

Hey man, I really like this idea! But I might be being insanely dull, but I haven't figured out how your infinite power/card draw combo actually works with Staff of Domination.Would you mind explaining it to me? :)Thanks!
January 31, 2016 7:45 a.m.
jparagon33 once he has infinite mana, he can draw infinite cards with the staff by tapping it to draw a card, and then paying mana to untap it. With the rest of the mana, he can play assault formation which he drew from his deck and give all his creatures +0/+1, which with assault formation, is basically +1/+1.

Staff essentially becomes a 1 card combo with Axebane or Battlement and 4 other defenders in play.

You can use the infinite mana to tap down all blockers and swing for infinite damage with Assault Formation which you can now just draw for because you have infinite draw.
