This is my build of a First Sliver Cascade Deck. It's an very explosive casual build. The main strategy of this deck is to flood the board with slivers, which cascade into more slivers and so on. In the end
Sliver Legion
can be cast for an attack with at least one big creature, which is very often a 20/20, with haste, flying, first strike, death touch, shroud and sometimes lifelink. This should be enough to end the game on the spot.
The most difficult part is to get the combo started. Therefore, the final strike is most time at turn 7 but even till than the slivers have some nice tricks to buy you some time.
There are 5 kinds of silvers for different purpose in this build:
- The slivers for defense:
Striking Sliver
,
Venom Sliver
, and
Quilled Sliver
. These can easily block and kill all kind of creatures. If there are some creatures with first or double strike quilled sliver can be used to bring them down without a need to declare blockers.
Spiteful Sliver
is a nice addition to this because it can protect us against big creatures even if we can't kill them by scaring our opponent to attack because of it's abbility.
Living End
is quite a nice addition to this Deck, since you´re able to cast it after cascading into a one drop sliver. It can be used as a bordwhipe or a comeback during the late game. It often combos with
Darkheart Sliver
. You can sacrifice your hole board, gain a lot of life and bring back all the dead slivers including the ones you sacrificed.
Wheel of Sun and Moon
could be used too during the late game by providing virtually more
Striking Sliver
s or infinite
Commune with Nature
s for searching
Sliver Legion
. We can tap our
Striking Sliver
for a mana of any color and sacrifice it for 3 life right before we're casting a two mana sliver to make sure to hit something with cascade and to draw 2 new cards. Due to haste we can do this all over again.
The manabase is very simple. We need mana of all five colors for our creature spells and some green mana for hard casting
Commune with Nature
or
Wheel of Sun and Moon
. If you´re having some extra money you can exchange the four
Fabled Passage
with a playset of
Cavern of Souls
.
