In the unforgiving tundra, it's survival of the fittest- there is no place for the weak. The horde of tribal armies are amassing in the mountains of Tarkir and no one is safe. A Distant Melody echoes from somewhere beyond the horizon, then a call to arms beckons the lust for war. Lovisa Coldeyes has made a secret pact with the elves of the wild-lands. Lovisa's Shamanic Revelation has brought her hordes through the Door of Destinies from far away lands to the Rishadan Pawnshop in pursuit of the ice wizards that acquired her Helm of Possession by means of Blatant Thievery. Lovisa's Decree of Savagery to have the mages Burn at the Stake gains the respect of Yasova Dragonclaw, who then agrees to help recover the stolen artifact- no doubt for her own diabolic intentions.

And so the Day of the Dragons is celebrated at the Elvish Promenade in honor of the great khan's new friendship. And yes, many drinks were spilled in the Presence of Gond that day. With the dawn of the next day, Invasion Plans are made to make a Monastery Siege at the dark shrine where the ice wizards have returned the helm to it's previous owner- Ugin.

But when Ugin's Sundial of the Infinite aligns in a great conjunction, a Spitting Image of Krenko, Mob Boss bubbles forth from the Ooze Garden and the sky cracks wide in an AEther Rift and Ruric Thar, the Unbowed is unleashed into the realm. So begins anew Life's Legacy of elves, goblins, and humans.
