Tiny Leaders is a 1v1 Variant of EDH with 50 cards rather than 100, 25 Life, no commander damage, and a CMC cap of 3.
This is my Daxos of Meletis Deck, the point of which is to maintain a safe buffer of Life with Daxos' Ability coupled with effects from things like
Awe Strike
and
Intervention Pact
as well as Suture Priest (which also Keeps a drain on the Opponent) and Soul Warden.
Removal is a Big Part of Making sure that Daxos keeps making contact with the opponent. Things like
Last Breath
Which is useful since Anything Bigger than 2 Power Cannot block Him anyway...Path to Exile can eliminate a good Lot of the creatures in the Format...
Feeling of Dread
Helps keep two little weenies from chumping Daxos. and the flashback makes it even better.Nevermore Can Keep a would-be-problem Commander from even showing up.
Pacifism
should not really need an explanation. And
Hypnotic Siren
as well as being a decent one drop, can steal a dude. and lastly we have to ever popular Swords to Plowshares Awful name, but beautiful Spell.
There is a decent compliment of fliers present to help whittle the Opponent down through the air. one Drops like the Aforementioned
Hypnotic Siren
as well as Flying Men and
Suntail Hawk
.
Azorius First-Wing
,
Welkin Tern
(whose 'can't block' clause is almost a moot point since i WILL be swinging him.)
Aven Squire
who can pump up Dax if he swings Alone.
Cavalry Pegasus
Who also grants flying to Daxos When they attack together.
Other things to Get dax over the Defenders' heads include
New Prahv Guildmage
and For sneaking through, or avoiding some Hurtful activated ability, Dax has
Crypsis
.
Counter Magic is Always useful in Blue... so We Have the Classic Counterspell, Mana Leak, Negate and
Render Silent
for a bit more lockdown.
For Card Draw and Filtration there is DivinationPonder and Brainstorm and of course Twincast can help to double play these or any Instant or Sorc that I or the Opponent may bring to the Table.
