I would put Hewed Stone Retainers in main over Guardians of Meletis.
Also, Ugin's Construct, maybe?

I love this! Colorless in Standard?! Sign me up. Thanks for sharing, and +1.

Disdained: Sliver Hive requires slivers to activate, so it wouldn't be useful, plus he needs red mana for the Shrapnel Blast in the SB.

After some investigating.. i realized that Ugin's Construct doesn't require you to sacrifice a colored permanent.. if you don't have one! In other words, you get a 4/5 for 4 mana, and you can ignore the sacrifice effect.
Good call from lanimilbuS!

KaedynCross It does not require you to sacrifice a colored permanent. Its an ability that triggers when Ugin's Construct enters the battlefield, not an additional cost that must be paid to cast the creature. If you have no colored permanent in play, nothing happens. This should definitely be in the deck.

I amended the comment right after. I looked into it and noticed that there was no sacrifice requirement. The deck has been updated, though i'm getting the feeling that Altar of the Brood is going to be more of a preference item in this deck, so i've moved it to the sideboard, to make room for better things in the main.

I think you might have a problem playing only 20 lands and really high-mana spells such as Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and Soul of New Phyrexia. I know you have Springleaf Drum, but I think it would be more consistent if you ran more lands over cards like Pyxis of Pandemonium or Grindclock (which is extremey slow, by the way).

dewicious007 I'm working on play testing the most recent version, but so far I haven't had any mana issues in the previous deck versions. Burnished Hart and Springleaf Drum usually give me a good amount of mana. Pyxis of Pandemonium, while slow, also has a decent chance of adding high drops and land onto the field. In a few games now I've turn 4'd either an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, Colossus of Akros, or a Scuttling Doom Engine. One one occasion i even monstrous'd Colossus on turn 5.
I can see where people would debate on if there was enough land in the deck, but from personal playtesting no problems yet! :3

Well if it works, why change it? It just looked a little risky from the list.

Hmm, i could sideboard the Pyxis completely and add two more mountain. Just removing the Ugin's Nexus from the sideboard.
Not a terrible idea, and i'd prefer the definite mana in the long run.

I would put 2 of each basic land instead of the 10 mountains. People try to play around so many strategies based off the color of your lands. May not end up being a big deal, but no harm in it

Witness of the Ages might work in here. You can equip the Ghostfire Blade while it's Morphed down to make him bigger early on, then Morph him up next turn for a decent beater. Gold-Forged Sentinel is another option for evasiveness.

Have you considered Akroan Horse as a defensive option? Gives you a chump on each of their turns. Also seems like a solid choice against control too, considering that it's just dinky enough for them to not want to answer and can build up enough to force their removal on the horse and the soldiers. I know I'd feel good if someone popped their Perilous Vault just to get rid of a 0/4 and a bunch of 1/1s!

Definitely considered Akroan Horse, i just couldn't find a really good spot for it in the deck. Ugin's Construct is better overall for the 4 mana cost, and there are really good options that are lower mana cost than Akroan as well. It also isn't on my side of the field to count toward Tomb of the Spirit Dragon for healing. :/

Wow--very original and cool! +1
Briber's Purse is an overlooked gem (literally) against aggro. Worth considering for sideboard if not main.

Worth considering for certain, i'll have to think about how i'd fit it into the deck, but it has potential. Thanks MinscAndBoo!

Ummm...
Where is Scuttles the Tank Engine?... err... Scuttling Doom Engine
No seriously... S-o-N-P is Good.... But the Tank Engine is disgusting once on the field.
