Or.....

WarriorDeckWins..

Tribal Orzhov Warriors is a very consistent, fast, and yet durable Aggro deck that is also comfortable going well into the mid game..

The strategy.. Mix up dropping efficient 1-drops 2/1's (Bloodsoaked Champion<->Mardu Woe-Reaper) & 2-drop Lords (Chief of the Edge<->Blood-Chin Rager), and a splash efficient removal spells to deal with bigger threats as needed.. Ideally we would want to stack multiple Lords and/or Anthems, and then clear the way for maximum Aggro goodness..

1-drops..

Bloodsoaked Champion: 2/1 with recursion..

Mardu Woe-Reaper: 2/1 with minor life gain, and natural Reanimator hate..

Tribal Lords..

(2 & 3-drops)

Chief of the Edge: When played on curve; One Chief pushes my 1-drops past a Sylvan Caryatid 's safe blocking range; Two Chiefs...

1 Blood-Chin Rager: The pseudo-evasion that this guy provides is HUGE for maintaining consistent offensive pressure in an Aggro/Midrange dominated meta..

1 Arashin Foremost: Tribal-specific Wincon #3.. Automatic 4-of.. Perfect for punching home the Win..

The rest is essentially Control & Anthem effects..

Anthems

Spear of Heliod: A Legendary Glorious Anthem with a built-in defense mechanism..

Sorin, Solemn Visitor: Primarily here for his +1..

Obelisk of Urd: Doubles the size of my Warriors.. Very OP when activated..

W/B War is a Tribe full of low-cost creatures that synergize well with one-another, but without necessarily being dependent.. Almost like Fish, only instead of Counter magic & such, Orzhov comes equipped with Thoughtseize, Valorous Stance, & various forms of Creature removal..

The Sideboard is largely intended to refine the control package according to the particular color(s) & match-up.. (Note: Control decks even tend to hide big creatures in the Sideboard..)

Vs Mono-Green Aggro brew: 2-1

The first two games I was more or less mana flooded. The first games it resulted in me falling behind & losing. The second game was kind of drawn out due to multiple combat shinnanagans on my part, and I was eventually able to overtake him. Game-3 saw my deck working like clockwork, and very quickly running him over..

Vs Mono-Black Aggro: 2-0

She had started off a little slower than me. I was able to play on curve a 1-drop followed by a Chief of the Edge, and then I was able to just keep swinging for 6 & pick off a couple of her dudes from there until the end.. Game-2 started off in the same direction except that it came down more to a race, and she pulled out some tricky combat shinnanagans that almost cost me the game! Turn-5 or 6; I swung with a Blood-Chin Rager & Chief of the Edge for 6 damage, then second main phase dropped a Bloodsoaked Champion & passed. She lost a point of life from Herald of Torment bringing the life totals to 12-4. She went to combat, swung with her Herald of Torment & Bloodsoaked Champion, and followed-up with a Butcher's Glee & Foul-Tongue Shriek to completely reverse the life-totals to 2-12. I thought for a moment that it was over for me. However, I had three Warriors out at 3-power each, and I was able to play an Arashin Foremost to give one of them Double Strike, thus allowing me to swing out for an even 12 to end the game..

Vs U/W/R/g Dragon Control: 0-2

Not much to talk about here except that I got severely mana flooded to the nth degree. I swear both games I drew over half of my lands.. The first game: I drew a bad hand, he drew a good one, and I got flooded out the rest of the game.. The second game I actually got out three 1-drops and was working him over pretty quickly. I got him down to 5 life before he top-decked a lucky Anger of the Gods. From there, I couldn't draw almost anything else except lands.. It was very disappointing to lose against a janky Control deck that otherwise wouldn't have stood a chance..

~~

For some reason the shop decided to cut to Top-8 after the third round, which screwed me, because of my disappointing flood-loss in the last round dropping me back to 9th.. Mana flooding was a huge problem this time, but the deck otherwise worked like clockwork when it wasn't..
