My Ephara deck that I started so that I would have at least one non-black Commander. I also wanted to have more of a normal, well-rounded, deck which I've tried to do by not focusing on one or two exploitative themes, while still having the power to occasionally play out that way if I draw the right pieces.

I've stayed away from being ETB focused as well as flicker effects and instead going with bounce and repeatable token generation. Themes include enchantments, morph/manifest and general defensiveness. Ephara's Devotion is usually quite trivial since I mostly play colored permanents over spells, and I draw a lot of extra cards over which mitigates targeted removal. There's also a lot of synergy that comes out of cards that seem innocuous on their own, and often I'm able to get enough value by the time the threat is dealt with. Sometimes this can annoy other players, like Sunken Hope or Riptide Chimera combined with Eidolon of Rhetoric or Spirit Of The Labyrinth, and it's borderline degenerate with Spirit Bonds and/or Sigil Of The Empty Throne. It doesn't win on the spot, so players have time to find an answer or go over the top of it (a good thing), so it's pretty "fair" I think.
