There are so many better cards than Wingmate Roc to blink Campbell527. Check out my deck for examples.
Don't Blink. Blink and You're Dead. Playtest
Modern*
SCORE: 18 | 30 COMMENTS | 978 VIEWSIn fact, you shouldn't even be running Wingmate Roc in modern. Raid mechanic is really bad in the format.

I'm going to ditto Femme_Fatale here, Wingmate Roc is an OK card with the right environment but not really deserving of your attention as a solo, one-take-all card. Here's my own EDH blink deck, if you want some ideas for good cards relating to blink: Our Allies Will Come When Needed (Budget - $71).
Also, -10 internet points for advertising on a tops deck like you're a bot.

"Check out my deck for examples! Check out my deck" everywhere! 3 people advertising their own deck on my deck! You should all get -10 points! ;)
"Joke, jank and combo"! My deck follows 2 of them, and sort of the last one.... Lol....
I don't know what this deck's comment section has become...

Iona on turn 3 is really sweet, so is swinging with a 30/30 emrakul on turn 4 (sometimes 3) if you want to see just click here ---> Emrakul on turn 4

Another person advertising their deck! Will this ever stop!?

Who cares about being competitive?
Fun play is better.

I have a lot more fun playing competitively than any other style.

fun play is better in EDH. competitive is more fun everywhere else, IMO.

Both can be fun. It depends if you love the pressure and the best decks, or if you like originality and fun. But this is not really the place to discuss it...
And no, advertising will not likely stop.

I am wondering, (sorry if this question has already been answered) but since Iona, Shield of Emeria is being manifested, it's "As Iona, Shield of Emeria enters the battlefield, choose a color." ability doesn't trigger, does it?

I think that only having 4 copies of Cloudshift means that its a bit inconsistent. In order to make this more consistent and have a bit more power on the board even without manifest, I would recommend that you play Restoration Angel. Another good combo is with Akroma, Angel of Fury. Play her morphed and then bounce her :P. I would drop a couple of emrakul's and augury owls to try to put these ones in.

Dat_Guy Since he is 'exiling, then returning to the battlefield', and not flipping it face up, it still triggers :)

rorofat is right here! I blink it, and that triggers the ETB ability!
I have thought about adding some Akroma, Angel of Fury and Restoration Angel. I'm not so sure, if Resto fits in the deck. If I add her, I should then also add more lands!
The Akroma may be a little too slow. When I Blink her on turn 4, I can't really attack with her. If I get combo'ed out or killed before turn 5, it would be pretty bad. If I add her, I should then also add more control...

Couldn't you technically use this blinking technique to get out big spells too? Like, say, Eldrazi Conscription? Cloudshift still applies because it is a 2/2 creature at cast and when it comes back it gets the ETB effect of choosing a new target.

Traveler247 says... #21
@InDirectX That would work, but just so you know, it doesn't have an ETB effect, and it doesn't target. It comes into play, and becomes attached to a creature of your choice, similar to how clone effects let you choose whatever you want to copy.

@Femme_Fatale not if they enter the battlefield without being cast. Look up rulings on Zur the Enchanter.

@Femme_Fatale Here's the rule: 303.4f If an Aura is entering the battlefield under a players control by any means other than by resolving as an Aura spell, and the effect putting it onto the battlefield doesnt specify the object or player the Aura will enchant, that player chooses what it will enchant as the Aura enters the battlefield. The player must choose a legal object or player according to the Auras enchant ability and any other applicable effects.
