Hello TappedOut users, here is my iteration of the emerging treefolk deck for the modern format. This is the Junk version that utilizes the best treefolk and a suite of the best removal spells.

Card By Card Breakdown

Birds of Paradise: This is the mana dork that does it all for our deck, he helps us ramp up to get our trees out quickly so we can smash face ASAP. He works best as a 3 of due to the aid of Bosk Banneret making our creatures cheaper to cast.

Bosk Banneret: He is great at making our trees a little easier to cast on our available mana, not to mention that he allows for a turn 2 board state of 2x Bosk Banneret and 1xBirds of Paradise because of his static effect; in addition he is a decent early game blocker for the ever popular Tarmogoyf

Dauntless Dourbark : This is our all-star creature (pun intended) for smashing in, as he can get huge out of nowhere, with a large part of the deck being forests and treefolk, he's a force to be reckoned with.

Dungrove Elder: He is Dauntless Dourbark 's younger cousin, but at a nice bonus, he's hexproof meaning that targeted removal is useless to stop his attacking/blocking potential. Just a strong creature for us.

Fendeep Summoner : This black tree is pretty damn sweet, he can create sizable blockers and pump our Dauntless Dourbark an additional +2/+2. One thing to note though, that if you plan on using him, make sure you have the Overgrown Tombs available for his ability. He sits at a 1 of because he is relatively situational but definitely deserves a spot in our 75

Ghoultree: This is here for one reason, a 10/10 beater that we can play for free with Leaf-Crowned Elder by tutoring with Treefolk Harbinger

Heartwood Storyteller: This is our card draw engine, he allows us to keep a hand of at least a few cards while our opponents burn their removal too early. His downside of letting our opponents draw cards is usually negligible because half of our deck consists of creatures. A solid 3 of.

Leaf-Crowned Elder : Hands down the best tree in our lineup, he plants more trees than a Jamaican on crack. But seriously, his ability allows threat after threat to reach the board without eating up our precious mana. Not to mention his combo of Treefolk Harbinger lining up the tree we need on top for our next turn. No question at a playset in the deck.

Timber Protector : Our lord for the trees, the indestructible he gives is also welcome as the opponent cant use Lando, burn, or targeted "destroy" effects to ruin our day. No brainer as a 4-of.

Treefolk Harbinger: One of the unsung heroes of the deck, he allows us to Vampiric Tutor (minus the life loss) for any tree, a great way to fetch any threat or mana cost reducer. I wish I could find room for a playset.

The removal in this deck, such as Maelstrom Pulse, Dismember, and Path to Exile should be self explanatory. It's just a varied suite of removal to get rid of problem Permanents.

Special Lands

Murmuring Bosk The best land we can have for our deck, all 3 colors untapped on any turn.

Cavern of Souls This will help us ensure that every tree we want hits the board.

The Sideboard

The side 15 again, should be fairly easy to grasp as we have cards to deal with matchups like tron, robots, and living end. Trostani, Selesnya's Voice is a trial card against burn that helps with some nice lifegain.

Well, that's it for this deck, let me know if you have any questions or constructive criticism about the deck. It's a blast to play and watch it be played.
