This deck is made for some fun on the kitchen table.
So we want to put this guy, Blightsteel Colossus onto the field T1, 2, or 3 if possible right? Well to do that we've got 4x
Tolarian Academy
, easily the most important part of this T1 shenanigan. Well in order to get the mana we need for this fun we need artifacts, drop artifacts. Turns out we've got 4x Ornithopter,
Phyrexian Walker
, and Memnite. As well as 4x Lotus Petal but these aren't just for
Tolarian Academy
. Okay now that you've got your artifacts and land on the field we need to tap that academy and
Tinker
up a Blightsteel Colossus. And that's the best part of this deck.
But wait, there's more! If you don't happen to get the god hand of:
1x
Tolarian Academy
, 1x
Tinker
, 3x artifacts, and 3 other cards (that don't really matter) maybe a Lightning Greaves and some Counterspells?
Then we've got an alternative. The title of this deck is Artifact Synergy after all. So like I mentioned earlier there are 4x Lotus Petal in this build, that is not only a "combo piece" but a "must-have" if you plan to win T1 (2 of your 3 artifacts in your opening hand so you can not only play
Tinker
but have mana from the petals to play Lightning Greaves and swing 11 infect T1. Now the other (later game) win technique is feeding the colorless hunger of the Hellkite Tyrant. This guy needs 20 artifacts! what!? But that's not particularly hard with this deck. Mycosynth Lattice can be easily acquired through tutoring or just drawing into it. This, as I'm sure you've figured out, allows me to take all permanents my opponents control (if I have Hellkite Tyrant) as well as letting me have the right color mana for anything I could imagine. Of course there are other things this deck can do like having some fun with
Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas
(on the kitchen table). His ult is extremely easy to get to and packs a punch in this deck. Perhaps they kill your Hellkite Tyrant right before you can win, then you can just gain 40 life and kill your opponents with having them lose 40 life. I just love the possibilities with this deck.
Thanks for taking a look and hopefully supporting the build.
