I'd trade the Tasigur, the Golden Fang for the Abbot of Keral Keep. You'll pretty much be casting them around the same turn, and I think having another burn spell is better than a big creature to drag a game out that you don't want to drag out.

Atarka's Command is better than Exquisite Firecraft most matchups. I'd play 4 command and move firecraft to the sideboard for control decks.

Love the Deck :) how about Death's Shadow against the mirror match in Sideboard? Enemy Burn Deck should have hard times to remove him once he has 4/4 or more

After the Cruise banning, I jammed with Tasigur, the Golden Fang in burn for a while. I must say, it was one of my more innovative ideas, and if you're playing Jund anyway, it's pretty awesome. May want to consider Gurmag Angler for that slot, though, because extra power means you can kill x/5s.

Death's Shadow sounds interesting. I could try it out as a singleton in the sideboard.

And tasigur vs the angler. I should try it out. It's definitly an option

Just starting out with Modern. Currently running a mono red list. How is Exquisite Firecraft working out in playtesting? Definitely considering adding 1 or 2 to my deck.

rashdawg3 mana is a lot but it's 4 damage that can't be countered. if you play against a deck that plays counters like Remand, Mana Leak and so on. it's really important to get damage through.but not all decks can play counterspells. so I have only 1 in the main because of the manacost and 1 in the sideboard. because playing against counterspells, wil slow the game down and you will have enough mana for the firecraft to be relevant.against non counter deck, I always side it out

Thanks for the reply! I think I may try it in the sideboard. There were a few decks running counterspells at my local store but not many. I could see it being useful to close out a game where the opponent is running counterspells.

Why are you running so many anti-life gain spells? Is your meta so heavy on it that 4 Atarka's Command isn't enough?

Also, doesn't it seem kind of odd to drop a land for the 1 of Shard Volley when it makes you sac a land?

take out young pyromancer. it isn't aggresive enough. put in more burn.

why is leyline of punishment their. atarka's command and skullkcrack are far more effective.
