I saw a RW spoof card that dealt damage when you gained life, and instantly had to make this deck. It works quite well, soul warden and soul's attnedant to keep you more than alive until you can transform Chalice of Life, cast Cliffhaven Vampire, or have the mana base to activate Vizkopa Guildmage. Lingering souls is to pump out the life/damage, and to provide as blockers. Willing works well with the tokens, as you get to take blocked creatures with you.
