This modern deck uses precinct captain and raise the alarm to create enough attackers to activate the abilities of Windbrisk Heights and Odric, Master Tactician.
Either Heights or Preeminent Captain are used to play the big spells - Captain of the Watch / Angelic Overseer, which is why this deck has a higher mana curve than a standard aggro deck (it remains quick like an aggro deck). Five-six mana is all I can rely on having in many modern games, meaning the Overseer can often be hardcast, but the Captain has to be gated in (often on turn 4, for a kill on turn 5).
Brave the elements is useful for protecting key creatures against burn decks, and for getting the precinct captain through to create tokens. Dryad Militant is necessary for exiling against Storm decks, and for general control against Zoo and Burn decks. Dryad Militant is sideboarded for Gideon's Lawkeeper against other aggro decks / Tron.
Odric has the same synergies as Windbrisk Heights and seemed like an obvious addition for possible alpha-strikes.
Cavern of Souls did not seem necessary for this deck, due to the alternatives presented by Heights and Preeminent Captain.
Any thoughts on the Sideboard / Mainboard are welcome. I am considering playing Porcelain Legionnaire over one of the three-mana drops (Field Marshal, since Crusader of Odric synergizes better with the rest of the deck).
