Plop quick, efficient creatures on the board (Monastery Swiftspear, Stormchaser Mage). Kiln Fiend is obviously able to push through ridiculous amounts of damage. Cast lots of cheap instants/sorceries. Repeat with drawn cards (I love cantrips).

The deck started out as a budget idea. If you replace Steam Vents and Spirebluff Canals with basic lands, the deck is very affordable.
