906 Treasure Cruise

-906.1 In the Treasure Cruise variant, the Treasure deck adds addional variance and chance to the game. The Treasure Cruise variant uses all the normal rules for a Magic game with the Commander variant (See Rule 903, "Commander"), with the following additions.

-906.2 In addition to the normal game materials, a game of Treasure Cruise requires a deck of 60-100 cards, called the Treasure Deck, comprised of Artifacts and Enchantment Curses. (See rule 301, "Artifacts", rule 303, "Enchantments" and rule 205.3h)

-906.2a The Treasure Deck remains in the command zone throughout the game. The active player is considered to own all cards in the Treasure Deck.

-906.3 Each card in the Treasure Deck at the start of the game is designated a Treasure. This designation is not a characteristic of the object represented by the card; rather, it is an attribute of the card itself. The card retains this designation even when it changes zones.

-906.4 At any time the active player has priority and the stack is empty, but only during the main phase of their turn, that player may roll a six-sided die. Taking this action costs a player an amount of mana equal to the number of times they have previously taken that action plus 1. This is a special action that doesn't use the stack. This is informally known as "Digging for Treasure" or "Taking a Cruise".

-906.4a If the result is 1-5, that player reveals the top card of the Treasure deck. That player then puts the last revealed card onto the battlefield. The rest of the revealed cards are put on the bottom of the Treasure Deck in a random order.

-906.4b If the result is 6, that player reveals the top 3 cards of the Treasure deck, chooses 1, and puts the chosen card onto the battlefield. The rest of the revealed cards are put on the bottom of the Treasure Deck in a random order.

-906.5 Treasures on the battlefield are owned by the player that put them into play. This is an exception to rule 108.3. The controller of a Treasure depends on the card's type.

-906.5a Treasure Curses on the battlefield enter with no controller. This is an exception to rule 109.4. Any instructions for a Treasure Curse's controller to perform are ignored while it has no controller.

-906.5b Treasure Artifacts on the battlefield enter under the control of the player who put it onto the battlefield.

-906.6 Some Curses are on Double-Faced Cards (See rule 712). Double-Faced Treasures with a Curse on either face are subject to the following rules.

-906.6a Double-Faced Treasures with a Curse on the front face enter the battlefield with its front face up.

-906.6b Double-Faced Treasures with a Curse on the back face enter the battlefield with its back face up.

-906.6c Double-Faced Treasures with a Curse on either face cannot transform or meld.

-906.7 Treasures return to the Treasure Deck when they leave the battlefield.

-906.7a If a Treasure is in a graveyard or in Exile and that object was put into that zone since the last time state-based actions were checked, it is shuffled back into the Treasure Deck. This is a state-based action. See rule 704.

-906.7b If a Treasure would be put into its owner's hand or library from anywhere, it is shuffled back into the Treasure Deck.

-906.7c If a Treasure is a melded permanent or a merged permanent is shuffled back into the Treasure Deck by the replacement effect described in rule 906.7b, each component representing it that isn't a Treasure are put into the appropriate zone, and the card(s) that represents it and is a Treasure is shuffled into the Treasure Deck.
