I have another question....I'm a little confused as to how to use the soulfire grandmaster in this deck other than maybe recurring an instant or sorcery for 4 mana. Other than the blasphemous act in this deck how would the deck benefit from getting lifelink for instants and sorceries or am I just not seeing how it should be used?

Soulfire Grand Master just goes really well with controlling the field with some key cards like Blasphemous Act / Comeuppance / Deflecting Palm / Cyclonic Rift the first three spells listed will have lifelink which nets me an ass-ton of life from previous games ive tested and rift is just brutal with her.

sorry forgot to mention it also combos with Orim's Chant / Silence / Render Silent

I ended up creating a Shu Yun deck after I saw this a couple months ago. I absolutely love the deck and it's style. Some cards that work well for me are Kaho, Minamo Historian, Sensei's Divining Top, Future Sight, Mystical Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, and Seize the Day. Time Warp is great with Soulfire too.

So with Curiosity in there and Jeskai colors, not to mention all the passive protection you have floating around, why not thrown in Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind for an infinite combo that could attempt to win or just get you cards you want?

It's just too high cmc and too much investment in mana to protect him and get curiosity on him, the game is usually over already before I have enough mana to do all thst. I would prob have him in my multiplayer version which draws a lot more cards and has a lot more higher cmc costing creatures to get a cheeky win with him and Curiosity. I only have one 6 cmc creature in here for how beast it is in this deck or sac fodder for Blazing Shoal.

Sunforger is ultra lel. Should consider it. You look pretty light on draw. Might want to consider slidin a bit of draws in.

Also consider Sure Strike in place of Borrowed Hostility. Same thing but half the cost.

AeroOnFire thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately Sunforger was cut long ago, it was too much of a Mana investment to do 1 thing, to cast it, to equip it, to activate its ability, 8 Mana investment, all to tutor for a singular spell Wich won't alter the game more than having it equipt or casting other spells because it ads +4 to his attack. For less Mana I can achieve the same goal of buffing him to 1 shot someone, the tutor was the only reason I like Sunforger but the tutor was close to pointless in this deck cause most of the spells I had have almost the same abilities. As for Sure Strike it costs to give +3 AD whereas Borrowed Hostility gives +3 AD for a single , you don't pay the escalate cost because first strike means nothing excpecially on Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest Wich also gives himself double strike and first strike is never usually a factor in the game cause he's typically unlockable in some way to Finnish out the game.

Don't worry Sunforger is in my multiplayer version of the deck for its tutor powerhouse abilities. :D

I am digging your Shu deck here Planes_Walker. I have one that I am working on myself and I'd love your input Beware The Monk!. I will say however that mine is different from yours. I have experienced trouble at the beginning if Shu is removed, so I have different creatures for late game card advantage if it comes down to that. I am getting to a place now though where I am able to win by turn 5 or 6 pretty consistently, if not earlier if I am very lucky. Anyway, +1 from me sir and I hope to discuss the finer points of building around Shu with you soon.

I used to have her in for my old version of the deck wich is more focused on the multiplayer aspect. I took her out cause she didn't do anything for me in this version I would rather have something like Moment of Heroism. Same cost much more impact.

Sol Ring is only banned in 1v1

Sol ring can be switched out I just have it in here cause I use this deck in multiplayer aswell.

Should I play Aggravated Assaul?

Samahel only if you want to combo it with sword of feast and famine.
