super stoked to see both Verity Circle AND Smothering Tithe in a deck ;)
Also, great list, will +1!

Thanks brother. Yeah smothering tithe is easily the best white card printed in a long while for cEDH. In playtesting its already produced multiple turn 2 wins. Combining it with a wheel is almost as good as notion thief. It's insane. Verity circle is more of a meta call, but I think it will do good work in the ranked trice meta (which is an almost guaranteed 2-3 opponents on a full compliment of dorks).

Hey there, I am doing a bit of research on The more competitive decks out there for my Stax deck.
-
So the first question is: what kind of "Stax" or "Hate cards" would shut this deck down or make it impossible for you to win under certain singular or combined Effects?
-
And the second question is about Sanctum Prelate as I am trying to gather as much information about the stopping power of calling specific CMC with this card vs certain strategies, Would you consider CMC ,, or CMC to be more effective here to disrupt your gameplan?

Null Rod + Back to Basics is pretty brutal against this deck. There isn't a card that makes it impossible for us to win (outside of janky stuff like stasis locks). We are weak to stax like Trinisphere and Notion Thief / Chains of Mephistopheles .
Cmc 1-2 would be most damaging. I cannot imagine wanting to do any other number in a cEDH environment unless everyone's wincon happens to be at 3.

Nice build, did you have a budget version for a player starting for a Grenzo Doomsday Deck?

Sadly I do not. It sort of difficult to do in sans green given that we lean heavily on broken rocks like crypt and mox diamond to get out of the gates fast and to win off naus. However, you could budgetize everything else more or less. Force of will could become misdirection, mana drain-> counterspell, timetwister->windfall etc. The land base also has a large number of budget friendly options. Aside from the rocks and tutors everything else is budgetable. However I would not play the deck without most of the mana positive rocks and cheap tutors

Really awesome deck list and explanations! I'll try building it this month. What do you think about Spellseeker and Grim Tutor? How about Blond Obedience for an additional wincon? Thanks.

DevilHSC: Thank you brother. Spellseeker and grin tutor are somewhat more expensive than I want in terms of cmc for tutors. Blind obedience is a meta call. If it hurts the majority of decks at your table it can do excellent work.
I have been away and spoiler season gave us some new toys. I am going to give this and other decks a revamp in the near future.

wrong talisman added. Talisman of Creativity is true talisman

By the way, why Narset, Parter of Veils is put off? And what about new Ashiok? Tested him?

So, now that paradox engine is banned what is the plan?

Talisman of Curiosity isn't legal in this deck, due to color identity, might I suggest Talisman of Creativity ?

Great Primer! Only thing is that talisman of curiosity is the UG one, which isnt what we are playing in the sans green deck. Thanks for the list!!

Paradox engine out, Phyrexian metamorph in?

Thanks guys. I'm updating the deck. Gonna lean on Double Labman as a wincon which should allow for a much more compact wincon. Titanic metamorph is potentially very good. It depends on the quality of the creatures and rocks your meta uses. One issue is the lack of high value/quantity of rocks and creatures in the deck.

So I've been doing a bit of thinking, how do you feel about teferi, time raveler? I feel like he's pretty decent. he can reset your remora, give spells lines like seal+probe flash, while also acting as soft removal, meanwhile his static effect makes for a decent stax piece against counters and opponents flashing in mindcensor, notion thief or endstep hulks. Is it another meta call or would you say he's well rounded enough to make spot in this list?

Actually, instead of reseting remora (because how much mana would you have to be sinking into remora to make a 4 mana total reset a viable option) teferi gives you another use out of dockside extortionist (personally I'm not entirely sure how relevant that actually is, but it's definitely something interesting) or deals with most opposing stax pieces in a quick way. I think I see him as a slightly more versatile silence with a quicken or soft removal option.

Y beat face with Kraum when there's Ishai? Ishai + Vial Smasher

simakover: Sorry I just saw this. We have a pretty good matchup against blood pod. We have to be careful with stony silence and blood moon. I rarely see the deck anymore but if it's in your meta I would add back a plains and swamp and make sure you get your basics in play early remove/counter those cards, remove tymna before she can get going. We can either out value or quickly Ad Naus to beat them. They don't have a ton of answers to us but we have many to them. If they do land a moon, Kraum can be a big value piece. Unlike BP our stax doesnt hurt us and we have blue, which are big advantages.
