Sideboard

Maybeboard

Please comment and suggest. I have played this deck casually for a long time and I am considering playing in some Modern tournaments with it. I am in particular need of sideboard suggestions.

Corpsejack Menace is the key that makes this deck really run. The hydras are, obviously, quite potent on their own but Corpsejack makes them absolutely terrifying. Primordial Hydra triples in size with him on the board instead of doubling. Attack with Kalonian Hydra for even more fun! Protean Hydra can get comically huge in a single turn with Corpsejack on the board. Play him as a 6/6 for 4 mana. Bioshift 5 counters off of him. At the end step he gets 10 put on, Corpsejack makes that 20.

Bioshift adds other tricks besides growing a huge hydra. It can save all your counter in he face of a removal spell. It can save an important creature from burn by moving some counters to it. The possibilites are endless.

Essence Harvest is here to take advantage of big hydras without needing combat damage. It can also give you some sustain in an emergency as you develop your board position.

Max Combat Damage done in a legitimate game: 75,816 on T9
